What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

..aww mate, that's not good..any real reason
still ya get to join Mc today in his siesta, if ya like..
Blasted cat was out so I waited for him...flashed the garden lights no sign so off to bed at 2am...then heard a loud cat wail sounding like a fight...poor old Churchill is not a fighter also quite elderly...got up convinced he was at the back door...no sign...waited until 4am then gave up...he was at the garden door as soon as I was up meowing to ask me where I'd been...the little fudger!

@ianpspurs and @DJC3 -- thinking about the Waitrose article again, the overheard horsey comment really made me LOL. When I think of all the times I (and friends) used to go shopping on our way home from the barn ... covered in sweat (human and equine), horse hair, dust or mud (and probably tracking muck as well), helmet hair hidden under a baseball cap (or not!) ... all just to stock up on carrots, apples, sugar cubes, and Gatorade ...

This is so confusing . What is a Waitrose? Is it something worth joining? Will it progress my LinkedIn profile? Is it black tie?

So sorry to read that your so called carers are a bit Tweedle De / Tweedle Dum about this - years of misinformation guiding them.
Perhaps print off some guidelines about what your current dietary requirements are, have them agreed and signed by your GP and present them to the overzealous bunch with a word of caution that these requirements can be amended as you see fit.
After all, we still live in a society of so called free will.

Hello got home an hour and a half ago and just sat down. Catching up on the news (never mind the BBC the most important stuff). @Fndwheelie you really do need a sense of humour in your world and keep your head screwed on while those around you lose theirs! @DJC3 you are a very wise woman about soda water, do hope your shoulder is improving. @SaskiaKC and @gennepher sounds like you two are plotting a big adventure...can I come? @dunelm hope you had lots of fun in the sun with the littlies. @ianpspurs hope you find a pathway with food and beverages that works for you and try to think of the move as a new beginning....who wouldnt love a new beginning. My mantra is as long as I spend my time with the people I most want to be with nothing else comes close. @Cumberland hugsfor the hypos wonder what is causing them for you and @karen8967 lately..you both are warriors. @Bubbsie who would have though Churchill would be so bold and brave...just like his namesake whose birthplace I visited earlier today. Sorry anyone I left out but hope YOU ALL enjoyed the weekend. Back to reality now!

Thank you PM I'm not sure how brave he is... except of course when he pounces on the largest moth he can find & brings it home...what amazes me is how he brings them home in one piece & lets them loose usually in the living room... so we all scramble for cover.

Haha I bet the other shoppers gave you a wide berth.

Just dropping in to report that I have just finished the coursework and have emailed it to be marked. Am so happy and relieved. Its done. Yay!!!!
There's nothing like it when something that has put you under pressure is finally finished well done Krystyna...I hated doing coursework...as for my final dissertation

What are Lidl and Prosecco?
Edit: Just looked on google, no Lidl in Cambridge

And here I'd been thinking Waitrose was similar to Whole Foods [Up]market. Until I saw those Waitrose shopping bags. They look like something I'd expect to see in Bloomingdale's, or Saks 5th Avenue -- if I ever actually set foot in a Bloomingdale's or Saks 5th Avenue ...

I've heard about such places ... but do they really exist?
