The good news is that you are both finding the symptoms milder by the day. That is tempered by the wobbly legs - initially read it as Poppy's legs, image of a Bambi on ice Labrador. Enjoy those coffees and do take all the time you need to properly recover. This enforced rest must be a total nightmare for one as active as yourself so a socially distanced virtual hug across East Anglia.5.5 this morning.
Both of us are still testing positive but the symptoms are much milder day by day.
A class member, who is also a friend, rang and we had a lovely chat. Both her and her husband had Covid over the summer break last year and they were positive for 13 days. Hopefully we are not that long.
Took Poppy out for a very short walk yesterday. Legs very wobbly but I felt ok afterwards.
We both took Poppy out this morning for a very slow and gentle walk to the park. Keeping well away from everyone. Felt wobbly again but ok afterwards.
Am resting now with a coffee
A beautiful description @Lamont DNot many spiders but plenty of flying objects, obviously unidentified.
I was up quite early, and needed something from the shed.
As over my head a noise and lights, in the moonlight sky.
My first instinct was.....***!!!
first flight out of JLA.
My second was its gonna crash into the moon.
Idiot.
My third was how lovely the moon looked in the black sky.
And finally, how cold it is at 5am!
Excellent news for you that the after effects of radiotherapy and associated medication seems to be easing.Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and mating spiders!
Blood sugars were 4.7, corrective measures have been taken along with bowel cleansing koffy.
Jury service
Luckily I was never called, but I knew a few who were called. These days I think my appearance would be enough to me get discharged, let alone my medical conditions.
This is tempting fate, but at long last the effects of my radiotherapy and associated medication seem to be slowly easing blood tests and multiple follow up appointments are lined up.
Now it is time to dash, may you all have a good day and smile after all it is a wonderful life. Cue film.
That sounds perfect @gennepher"I am writing to respectfully request to be excused from jury duty due to my profound deafness and associated disabilities. I have been summoned to serve on [Date], but I believe my condition significantly limits my ability to fully and effectively participate in the proceedings.
As a person who is profoundly deaf, I rely heavily on alternative communication methods, which would present significant barriers during jury deliberations and throughout the trial process. Additionally, I have other related disabilities that further hinder my ability to fully engage in the proceedings.
I am including a letter from my healthcare provider that outlines my condition and supports this request for an excusal from court duties.
Thank you for your understanding and consideration of my request. Please let me know if you require any further information."
thanks @gennepherA beautiful description @Lamont D
It was a beautiful and black night sky, and cold here early in the dark as well...the night sky is full of wonder with those clear bright stars
Thanks @jjraakThat sounds perfect @gennepher
Not overly long, covers the important points
And puts the ball firmly In their court (sic).
And in the unlikely event they insist You still attend.
I beg you, please please video the plan B mentioned earlier.
"What, What ..for goodness sake, speak up man ...."..lol.
I am full of admiration for you dealing with that situation. Well done on avoiding the wine and biscuits but no one could blame you for wandering off piste slightly. I hope your French friend can clarify what the builder said and that gives you more peace of mind.21.10
No FBG today,
Its still raining for most of the day. Yesterday managed to get outside for an hour, but was so wet and slippery, it felt a bit dangerous. Not a lot done, few finished courgette plants uprooted and now on compost heap. Was hoping to clear enough of the fruit bed which is where those courgette plants were to lay down woodchips mulch, but as always the task took longer than expected, so another unfinished job to add to the list.
The leak in the loft got worse. It's now making puddles in the salon. Only one this morning , but now requiring a combination of buckets and bowls to catch all the drips. Part of the problem is that the water is seeping down the chimney, so is filthy with tar and soot.
Have contacted the recommended builder, ( bidet) and he came to look today. Conversation was entirely in French.I think that he said he will come Thursday morning to fit a chimney hat. Except that later I could see there is already one in place. A french friend is coming tomorrow who speaks good english, so i shall ask her to contact the builder and explain.
Meanwhile sitting here listening to the drips and feeling so angry and depressed I want to climb into a huge glass of wine with a plateful of biscuits. Instead am making decaffeinated coffee, just to use it up, only two more cups of the stuff to consume.

Thank you @ianpspurs. Yes, it was definitely my legs that were wobbly and not PoppysThe good news is that you are both finding the symptoms milder by the day. Really good letter @gennepherThe stress of trying to write this letter to the court sent me into a deep sleep for the rest of today, and I have just woken up.
Not eaten, still not fully ok from last week, although all my vitals are fine.
I submitted what I needed to say to ChatGPT (I have used this service several times before but just for a couple of sentences), not something as complex as this. I explained the situation and what I needed from it. And then submitted @jjraak 's suggestions, and some of mine (and I was getting bogged down with detail in trying to explain, you lot know I have a problem with conciseness).
ChatGPT came back with a respectful formal letter to the judge (I do find ChatGPT rather Americanised, but it is still useful)
Here is the main body of its letter to the Judge.
"I am writing to respectfully request to be excused from jury duty due to my profound deafness and associated disabilities. I have been summoned to serve on [Date], but I believe my condition significantly limits my ability to fully and effectively participate in the proceedings.
As a person who is profoundly deaf, I rely heavily on alternative communication methods, which would present significant barriers during jury deliberations and throughout the trial process. Seeing as we now have a doctorless surgery, a locum letter from some unknown place would most likely be worse than useless. But I do have a letter from the cochlear implant hospital which explains my hearing limitations. It is 8 years old but the info still stands. If the court ask for a more recent one, then I will contact the hospital. I also have my paper repeat prescription of several pages which is the medicines and devices needed for my problems, and I shall add that as 'proof' of my disabilities.
I'll rewrite (and shorten) the letter above when I wake up tomorrow morning. I cannot do any more tonight. I need a break from this and to write my post and take a photo before it gets dark.
Thanks for the great help this morning @jjraak

That is a truly horrible day @Lamont DA friend called around.
he told us of a horrendous day on the peninsula.
a motorcyclist died of his injuries, as he lost control, and at speed, he came off. This happened just down my road, going towards town.
The motorway was closed due to an accident this afternoon.
I'm my old neighbourhood, a juggernaut took out a learner driver.
And just as the shock of that was wearing off, an old neighbour from across the road has died.
They moved a few years ago. And we only just found out last week, that she had cancer.
Mrs L is devastated.
I can't believe this awful day.
@ianpspurs not so difficult to avoid wine when all that's available is Fizz, bought for Christmas, as for biscuits, I would have to make some... with MrSlim away there are none in the house.I am full of admiration for you dealing with that situation. Well done on avoiding the wine and biscuits but no one could blame you for wandering off piste slightly. I hope your French friend can clarify what the builder said and that gives you more peace of mind.
Am so sorry for you and Mrs L when you get such a lot of bad news all at once, it's hard to deal with it. All I can offer is heartfelt sympathies. And a hugA friend called around.
