What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Thank you @ianpspurs even though the illustrated explanations contain spam - It’s on that work bench - a whole tin of it and that radio is suspicious. Elastic trickery - in Grunty Fen - hard to believe.

Stomach cramps - ouch! Take care.

You may be casting around for those ideal gifts to fill a hamper for good friends, I know we are. Those one puts together are always so much more personal than the usual Fortnum and Mason hampers. Here are some useful ideas. I truly believe nothing says Merry Christmas like a mustard poultice. The captions work after a fashion @gennepher - very hard to transcribe true Fenish - also quite long for everyone so dip in and out or ignore.

Ouch.
witnessed a couple of them.
The three degrees from 'The Philly Sound' were a Barry White and record company that brought together a collaboration of female backing singers. And when they had a couple of hits were given freedom to perform.
Hence, Love Unlimited were born.
'It May Be Winter Outside' an apt tune with the frost outside.
I would also say and believe that if Barry White had been in the network and record company's of the likes of Hollywood and the popular media. As with Smokey Robinson, they would have been hailed as the 20th century prolific popular music composers and lyricists. Geniuses both of them.

Interesting journey @dunelm
A great sketch, and red roof...

Fbg 6.8

No time to do any video editing....
Out all day.
Came back to blinding (despite wearing my prescription Polaroid driving sunglasses) afternoon sun in Wales, which gave me a visual migraine attack ...so I feel sick and not so good now...
No way can I edit a video...
And here is a kaleidoscope for creative....
Night night....

Good happy national bin day Morening Ladies and Gentlemen.

Blood sugars this morning were a straight 6, this is perplexing because the number six is full of curves, so why do we say straight?

Today I will be unsupervised, but I will be expected to get the pagan festival decorations out from their storage place. While me me’s and myself carry out this task Mrs J will be a lady what lunches.

Well that’s my day, I hope you fellow posters and painters have the best day you can.

Stay warm, stay dry, stay safe.

Thank you for the kaleidoscope and hope that your migraine is over.

Hope you are feeling a lot better this morning @gennepher. The kaleidoscope is brilliant.

Hope you're feeling better after a sleep Gennepher.

Busy day today. Neil has to have his flu job first, then I go to have my legs rebandaged while Neil does the shopping. Then this afternoon I have an appointment with the Medical Consultant (6 monthly review) while Neil goes to the recycling plant with loads of cardboard from all the Amazon parcels over the last couple of weeks since Alistair took the last load for me. Then a Zoom meeting this evening.

BG was 8.8 at 03.00 but up in the 10's now. And I've put more weight on!

Good morning all from a very frosty Thanksgiving here in, L.A. which one could almost describe as pretty in the same way as the attached. Fortunately, I shall be busy not working from home today. @gennepher hug for the visual migraine and thank you for the kaleidoscope. @Krystyna23040 thank you for the mention of that programme. Tuesday's poorly granddaughter was sent home from school yesterday and later diagnosed with tonsillitis requiring antibiotics. Sad news about Liz Hatton. Have a poem and an (the?) Advent song - the scenery and her voice are glorious even if the message isn't to your taste. Quiet here today as our protectors (for now?) are feasting - best wishes and sincere thanks from myself (and turkey producers/sellers who enjoy a double dip) Enjoy Thursday your way, always provided that isn't unjustly at the expense of other people.

Good morning everyone on a cold, bright, sunny start to bin day here in the dark and dangerous north. Thanksgiving today and a good excuse to get out there and do a practice run on Christmas lunch at a local eatery. Needs research mind as such festive bargains may be as big a flop as opening a new colonic irrigation clinic during a hose pipe ban. Girl in The Bubble over yesterday after school. We did some painting and made our own green, purple and orange by mixing. I am now calling her Paula Rego. I thought Freda Kahlo at first, but no. She will be staying over tonight after her swimming lesson so we might do a bit more. Going to bring some art materials into the house from the art room as it’s getting cold and am loath to put on the electric heaters - humbug! Art bit - a bit of water and some red roofs. Temperature is falling, which influences the production of hats and gloves so wrap up warm and don’t trust even the brightest looking bit of sunshine. Really must have some Koffy.

Thank you for sharing yet another in the series of splendidly tranquil red roof pieces. I may be reading too much into this to see this series as an attempt to create a sense of inner tranquility or, even better, a reflection of just such a felicitous state? Enjoy every second of the precious time with TGIB, as I can tell you do, but you know that already (does that sound too Rita Skeeter?). The “now but not yet” world into which she and all our grandchildren will eventually be thrust is sadly more often that Fran Cotton image than your art or the Enya video. Those are the glimpses, the cracks in everything which let in the light. Our task is to create that deep reservoir of love and peace which we had as children and carry with us into life's vicissitudes. Austerity was universally awful but the education "reforms" of the last government were, in my opinion (and many others I might add) much the worse part in that they seemingly attempted to deliberately make schooling the antithesis of that. God bless all those who ameliorate (d) the worst effects - often at great expense to their careers, health, family life and even their own life.

A bumpy 7.2 this day of lounging cos it's too cold outside.
Froggy, frosty, frumpy, freezing fursday from frodsham. (Not really) could have said formby, but that is stretching it a little.
Bedroom just needs new carpet and that is arriving next week.
Chrimbo decs next. And cards, and .......!

Garden has suffered with the deep frost.

Didn't want to get outa my pit this morning. Two reasons, the cold and the usual stuff.
But once again, needs must.

Bestest wishes you lot, lots of things to do....... Tomorrow!

K
thank you for the mention of that programme
It was a very thought provoking programme @ianpspurs . It reminded me of my struggle to stop eating ice cream, cakes and biscuits - which I did eventually win.

I particularly liked what he said - we are not lazy, greedy or lacking in willpower. But rather we are being set up by the food industry to fail.
