Thanks Ian. I made myself a checklist that I use now, and adjust as meds etc change. Doesn't solve all the problems but helps a bit. Would recommend.Morning all. Several hugs and an explanation required. @jjraak @gennepher @Peanut234 and @JohnEGreen hugs to you all. @JohnEGreen the explanation for the two funny ratings. The thought of Judith being outraged at the offer of the mobility scooter and the poor man arriving naked were both funny. @gennepher thank you for sharing the creative. Hugs for the pain and stress of prep for the hotel stay. @Peanut234 that set of considerations would make trips stressful for anyone. @jjraak bravo for remaining focused on the big picture and showing a sense of humour in all this. Inch by Inch? classic Al Pacino speech on that topic : NSFW unless you are a sports coach or right now trying to motivate Y13 students to achieve the grades they need for Uni. (that;s the cleaned up version) We are looking after the Big Sister of the Chicken Pox boy who naturally caught that. She slept with JKP and I was told to look after Big Ted, Little Ted and Sheepy in the guest room. Its a hard enough life but I have peanut butter, tea and talking dogs

That's like the curate's egg @Annb. Good fbg and an actual GP conversation. Conversely, no results, iron needed and no plan to deal with the breathlessness. All very much inch by inch which seems to be a developing theme today.5.6 at 04.30 today. Still in the 5's but will have breakfast soon (soup with sausage meatballs floating in it) so it will probably rise a bit. Too low to risk taking insulin before breakfast.
Just had a phone conversation with the GP. No results back yet from the hospital - not even a report on my A&E event from 3 weeks or so ago. However, blood tests are back and show my kidneys not improved, but no worse now that I am on the new diuretic and off the 2 old ones. I am also anaemic and have to take some iron tablets, currently waiting at the pharmacy. I don't usually get on well with iron tablets, but I will try. Usually I end up having to have iron infused, which is a bit of a bind. Breathlessness he thinks is due to too much fluid which will be gathering on my lungs, but higher dose of the diuretic which might get rid of it, will damage my kidneys. Swings and roundabouts. Meantime, I'll put up with the breathlessness.
Marvelous what these creatives can achieve - wonderful threads pushing out from the centre.Fbg 7.0
Short post...
Creative...the view out of my bedroom door window, to bare winter trees outside. 'Believe' is a Christmas decoration that someone sent me many years ago and I look at that every morning....
Time for a nap....
Have your best day for you....

A beautiful tree. I am going to call it an oak tree....Good afternoon everyone - talking of curates eggs - a mixed bag today. Up late and in my snail like haste forgot to take my daily dose of whatever the unpronounceable stuff is that controls my emphysema and steers my asthma - a marvelous concoction I am sure, just don’t hold your breath.
So, a walk down into town and into a cafe where my carry bag of pen knives, bits of string, elastic bands, a spork, a reusable straw, tiger balm, pain killers, tissues, emergency inflatable spare brain and what not was turfed out onto the table in order to extract a plethora of multi coloured inhalers, free at the point of use from the friendly drug juggler at the pharmacists.
Late breakfast, pleasant enough walk home, 4 miles there and back to see how far it was. I took charge of a new pair of lightweight walking boots yesterday as my Altberg ones are getting a tad heavy for everyday use - should I clean them? These new ones are smashing - no good for mountains but I won’t be doing that again any time soon I feel unless it’s to be scattered out of a box. Take the missed out potion of life.
Daughter has a birthday today and according to her mini-me, the Girl In The Bubble, is either 120, 12 or some other random age. Meeting up for dinner out early evening. I will be looking at menu choices online to decide what to have that doesn’t come with a, loads of carbs and b, drenched in something invented by the Red Skull to hasten the demise of Captain America.
Art bit - well just a tree then. Hope your day is as exciting as mine is but in different ways. Already had two does of koffy today so it’s a glass of water and a bit of reading.
As said, a curate's egg of a start to Tuesday for you. Happy birthday to your daughter and enjoy the meal out, perhaps even relax a little over carbs and sauces (1) . (Strange echo of JKP and sons to me as I typed that, most bizarre). You lost me with those references but I assume I do the same for most here with sporting ones. Love TGIB's shot at how old mum is. I hope the new boots last you for many years to come. Respect for the mileage in such circumstances and thanks for sharing the art.Good afternoon everyone - talking of curates eggs - a mixed bag today. Oh Gennepher, what a ridiculous waste of their efforts and, worse, your time and energy. Can your son help out again?I have just had an email off the Hospital. They've gone and changed the appointment again. I am trying to understand from the email what is going on....
