I have been well under the weather for a few weeks now and my BG has been far too high all that time, but am feeling quite a lot better, most of the time, now and BG seems to have come back into fairly normal levels and even a bit lower than previously. A fairly clear correlation I think. That is such a good reading. When I have a virus my bg goes much higher.
Yes, a very clear correlation @AnnbI have been well under the weather for a few weeks now and my BG has been far too high all that time, but am feeling quite a lot better, most of the time, now and BG seems to have come back into fairly normal levels and even a bit lower than previously. Yes, it could be that. Stress can cause havoc with BS.Yeah it was weird. Numbers have definitely been high today and won't budge. They were higher yesterday too. Wonder if I overdid the insulin and would normally have had a low. Am playing with my ISF and carb ratio at the moment. Maybe I was less stressed than normal!
Thanks @dunelmLovely shell art - reminds me of the beach here after a storm. Some interesting research going on. Fascinating stuff. We took my mother to Monet’s Garden at Giverny a few years ago - wonderful place - you should be able to get pictures on the inter web.
Sounds a good day @dunelmGood morning everyone on another chilly and overcast start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north. 5.8 this a.m.
Yesterday was full on exploration; garlic hunting in the woods (a bit early but we didn’t mind), hunter gathering razor clams along the beach and then up through “the jungle” of the next woods and back home - a tad over 5 miles and just in time for cheese toasties and hot chocolate with gooey bits on top.
Today - swimming baths.
Art bit - just juggling along.
Hope your day is a pleasant one. The sun is just coming out. That’s nice. Best make koffy.
Quite a marked difference @gennepher .
Nice idea about the notes, mind.
My imperative was no rubbing the eye
Managed several days before I stupidly forgot one morning.after taking off shield to redo taping .... DOH.
Sounds like you got all this planned out nicely.
I guess it's in the lap of the gods how your perception of colours finally settles down .
May be an interesting selling point at auctions when you're 'discovered'.
"Here we have an original, post cataract period, 'Gennefer' commonly known as her BLUE period pieces, this one is titled 'swinging beasties of the garden'.....
Who'll start the bidding at fifty thousand pounds...thank you madam, ..do I hear 55.... "
Interesting observations. You need to get the paints out for some experimental painting. Pick a subject, a photo or object - cover one eye with a patch and paint it. Change patch to other eye and repeat the painting. Now try with both eyes open to produce a triptych. They will sell like hot cakes or cross buns or whatever sort of patisserie is flavour of the month.Fbg 6.9
Back to my normal range again.
My previous high figures were due to stress, particularly with the hospital changing dates and times...
I am sleeping a lot at the moment, chilling out I think...
I have made several of these notes put them in every room one at each of the room. They are on white paper. I didn't realise I bent down to do things so much. It says on my hospital paperwork, No lifting and No bending...
Creative is this notice as perceived by the left (good) eye. And another as perceived by the right, new cataract eye.
I could not quite get the shades right, but it is a very marked difference as perceived by each eye.
And yes, it is that marked a difference as perceived by each eye.
I do not know where this leaves me as a painter yet.
I went out this morning to do a bit of shopping. And how cool blue is the world... I really didn't like it.
I can see in incredible detail. And I still cannot believe that I do not need reading glasses.
I can read in dimmer lighting conditions than I used to be able to. I had quite a few different small reading lamps and I don't need those now.
I wonder how much more this will change. I can tell just during today how much sharper my eyesight is becoming with my right new cataract eye. How much more improvement is it capable of? How much more will things change?
I am tired so I'm going to bed now, take my last lot of eyedrops which will take me, just over half an hour with four lots of eyedrops (leaving 10 mins between each one).
Sweet dreams to all of you...

Interesting flows of paint with water spray bottle...Good morning everyone on another day in paradise being flung round in circles, racing round a ball of fire and at the same time hurtling outwards towards the who knows what. Try not to fall over.
5.7 this morning - drat, not prime - but it is a NATO small caliber bullet size (why does this stuff pop into my consciousness without a hint of a warning? Something like, “prepare for incoming rubbish, recently mined from deep within the depths of the hippocampus or other horse like shaped bits of brain). Or, as Charles Kingsley had it, “the great hippopotamus test”. - see, there it goes again!
Word of the day is “Whitby” - will we survive the 199 steps up to Carfax Abbey unless it’s moved back to Purfleet curtesy of Bram Stoker.
Art bit - more ink vicar?
Hope your day is as full as bewilderment as mine seems to be having. Wonder if a koffy will sort it out?
Bonnie is coming along very well....5.8 this morning.
A good day yesterday. Took Bonnie to the local pet shop to buy dog food. The owner said that she was really well behaved for her age
Sister came over and we spent an afternoon doing loads of admin.
So a mixture of relaxing and working and of course coffee.
I read this above as recently minced! Puts a different spin on thingsSomething like, “prepare for incoming rubbish, recently mined from deep within the depths of the hippocampus or other horse like shaped bits of brain).
