I don't know the one and outs of your diabetes.......... And I might be so wrong........It didn't go so well overnight.
Couldn't get to sleep and at 02.45 I looked at the clock and decided to get up if I was still awake at 03.00. Next thing I knew it was 03.21 and I thought the whole diarrhea episode was starting up again. It was only minor though, but still, I decided to stay up.
BG had remained consistently in the 4's but since I had a cup of tea, with a little milk, this morning it went up to 5.0 and that's where it has stayed. It's 3 days since I took my basal insulin, or the bolus one. Actually 3 days since I took any of my pills (other than painkillers).
Problem I have to decide on now is - do I take my basal insulin? Or will it push my BG back down to danger levels, like the last 2 days (mostly 3's rather than 4's)? I do intend to have a small amount of food today, mostly liquid, but if that doesn't push my BG up, insulin might be a mistake. On the other hand, it might be a mistake not to take it.
Decisions, decisions....
Hugs for the uncomfortable temperatures - interesting kaleidoscope to compare with the original painting.Fbg for Saturday 6.7
Creative for Saturday
Creative is a kaleidoscope from Friday's painting of a window....
Trail cam is Midnight and Jade...and a new badger. This is not Willow nor Thor, but a new badger...
Same video on YouTube
Unbelievable temps
34C in back garden
40C in the front garden
Midnight and I sat underneath my canopy of trees in the back garden.
I am grateful for my canopy of trees and leaves...
But the only snag was a few hundred wasps in my back garden...it is that time of year when those black aphids start covering the willow trees, and the wasps come to drink the honeydew from them...just don't sit under a willow branch where the honeydew is dripping...so this is the wasp's drunk fest for another 4 weeks now...at the height of the wasp's drunken fest, I have to walk through thousands of wasps to get to the potting shed and garage...never been stung yet...I show no fear... and they are not interested in me anyway...
Bungalow was intolerable. Still is...27C in this room...35C in the kitchen... I have my head out of the window... and I am watching what looks like pretty much full moon... I am just hoping a badger does not stick his head up.... I have a small refrigerator in my room and I have three bottles of water in it and I keep swapping them....bliss...
Night night
Sweet dreams

Thanks for telling us. I hadn't heard the sad news. Sincere condolences from me, too.Just read the sad news of John Green's passing. Sincere condolences to his family and friends at this difficult time.
Small bites and small doses is what I have been aiming at for all these years, since diagnosis. It would be the best I could hope for. Sadly, it doesn't always work that way. Fasting often leads to an increased BG so at least the full basal dose is usually required. Not this time. Recently, small bites have required increasingly large doses, which I was unhappy with.I don't know the one and outs of your diabetes.......... And I might be so wrong........
But logic.... Spock, behave,....... would say little food, little meds.
You know yourself how it fits together for you, small bites small doses.
But do take it easy and keep checking.
Best wishes.
We watched the film The Wicker Man last night. The ending was unexpected and very shocking. It has haunted me all day.Film last night - Otto, Tom Hanks - rather good.
