What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

I actually finished the job at 6.10pm. Every 1:1 client's lesson plan updated and neatly stored the concertina file. That is one huge job out of the way.

We took Bonnie straight out for a lovely walk around our village. It was one of Poppy and Archie's favourite walks. It was the first time we had taken Bonnie on that walk - she did enjoy the new experience.

Alf is right, the Mrs is always right.
Other than the footie thing at dinner (lunch) and #7 & #8 running around wild. I have since been tidying what I can before the homecoming queen arrives tomorrow.
The family is coming together for it and I can see a Sunday lunch being involved.
Cloudy, windy and still no higher than 18degrees today.
Big tournament on footie pitches, yesterday, today and tomorrow, car parking around here has been horrendous. In fact impossible since mid morning.
I'm anxious about tomorrow, I'm really hoping it is all good.

9.8 at 04.20. Dropped a bit by the time I got through to the kitchen.

I see from the News of TV that most of the rest of the country is seeing the sun. It's hiding behind some fairly heavy clouds here. I also see that there's another heatwave coming - with any luck, I'll be able to go back to 2 layers instead of 3. My hands are very cold today and once I've finished using the keyboard, I might go and get a pair of gloves. Even my 3 layers are leaving me a bit on the cool side. It's August! I will NOT turn the heat up!

I hope today goes well @Lamont D and that Mrs L is much improved.
 
5.5 this morning.

Just back from a lovely walk around Blickling Hall lake.
It is Bonnie's first visit to Blickling Hall and she was such a good dog.
Then of course the important visit to the Muddy Boots Cafe at the end of the walk - where again she was very well behaved.

today was brilliant.
all the family was here for the homecoming.
Mrs L is really good. Still a bit confused, but nothing like Mrs L was before her holiday.
all is good so far.
The team is due in the morning, hopefully it will be good for us both.

Black ink and sepia sketch. I did this while ago on a postcard.... so this is my creative for today...

I was doing some shopping this morning, and this guy drove into the car park after me, he was driving with his bonnet up , you know open and obscuring his windscreen, and then he backed into a car parking space. All the while unnecessarily revving, it seemed. Then he got out of the car put the bonnet down and walked away out of this shop's car park.

Normally, I am curious with strange things, but today I wasn't and I just went straight into the shop and didn't look back...


I have only once in a very old car, have my bonnet go up as I was driving.... it was an old Ford Estate...

So that was my bit of excitement for the day....

It is nearly midnight and time I went to sleep.

Morning all from amidst fields and fields of sunflowers here - St Geraud (Lot-et-Garonne) France. We are on holiday with 2 sons and their families. @dunelm never mind how much for the farmer's produce, I have spent a fortune on tolls from Caen to Marmande. You have to love a town that has a tomato festival. @Lamont D the break sounds to have done Mrs L good and hopefully that will help you. @gennepher today's creative is right in my wheelhouse, thank you. @alf_Josiah good to hear that Mrs AJ still keeps her eye on you. I'm not sure croissant are low carb but they are very Sweet Caroline - so good, so good - at least I didn't have apricot jam. At the risk of making anyone jealous, today will be at least 43C - nighttime not below 21. I slept like a log. Enjoy Monday.

5.3 this morning.
Today's job done and dusted.. Sorting out the paperwork for the accountant to do mine and Mr K 's tax returns. We will drop it in to the accountant on the way to get our Yeo Valley organic milk from Tesco.

Now I have 3 weeks left of my holiday to do the really interesting stuff. Learning new exercises and delving deeper into how the body works. It actually doesn't feel like work. It feels that at last l have time to indulge in my favourite hobby.
 
So, the results are in: it is in fact only 6 weeks since my last HBa1C, which was 75. I hoped to be under 69, so i could go back on the knee replacement list. I am thrilled that the latest reading is 58. Pat on the back for me I actually found the result on my patient app, no-one has phoned me yet

This morning I was 4.9
