That would be brilliant @jjraak"My isn't the internet and interesting & magical place & SO educationa..." My Goodness
Longest badger poo & badgers wars weren't quite what I was expecting from it today.
Pretty sure, given the dross that's does get made into shows on telly, you could pitch badger wars to some one in the 'in' crowd at CH4 and get it commissioned for at least the first season.
If its any help, I'm happy to do a badger voiceover, wonder if @alf_Josiah or others might be up for it too...
mmhh..think I'll make one french, as in the monty python sketch ..."sacre blue, You stinky baddgers "
You will be utterly stressed and mentally exhausted @Krystyna23040 trying to work through this minefield to get the correct diagnosis and specialist for the op...Thank you @jjraak .
We had a 20 minute appointment with the Consultant at the Spire hospital in Norwich - which turned into well over an hour long appointment.
The Consultant was so thorough. The upshot was that Mr K was misdiagnosed in 2010 and was also misdiagnosed at A&E last week. He does need an op, but not the one they were going to do.
The Consultant is specialist in both areas so I think he is right.
Thank goodness they didn't go ahead with the op on Monday. They were right when they said that they could have made him much worse because they didn't have the expertise in that area.
He needs 4 to 6 weeks of medication before he can have an op but he will, hopefully, be in much less pain as the meds start working.
Yesterday I was so exhausted I didn't post. I don't know why I was exhausted as I am not the one who is in pain.
But you are in pain. Your pain is not the physical one that Mr K is suffering, but the emotional one of seeing hiim going through all this. Then again there's the stress of the whole affair. Then again there's the physical and mental effort of getting to see the right doctor and wondering if he is the right one after all the rest. No wonder you are exhausted both physically and emotionally.Thank you @jjraak .

Thank you @gennepher. Yes, it is exhausting. I actually feel absolutely shattered. You will be utterly stressed and mentally exhausted @Krystyna23040 trying to work through this minefield to get the correct diagnosis and specialist for the op...
More hugs for you both...

Fbg 6.8 This is for Friday....
The next page in my sketchbook...
Painting is created with acrylic paint, pastels, and white pen....
More holes dug in my garden by the badgers with a long poo inside!. ... but they are different colours so it looks like it's the same badger eating different foods or it's different badger, but either way it looks like the badgers are still eating a lot of seeds and berries.....
Very windy and stormy here...
Goodnight...

Lovely scene Gennepher. Actually it is very reminiscent of an artwork I bought for my mother years ago, but it was Acrylic (I think) painted onto a black velvety fabric. Very effective as is yours.Artworkgennepher 2025 >^..^< — For Human Eyes Only

I do hope that you can get that house water tight before this winter kicks in04.10
9.55am FBG 6.6 is this because i forgot first thing ( about 8am? )
MrSlim has made the gaskets and fitted the new pump. Filled and pressurised the radiators. We have heat. But not all radiators are working, sadly the one most needed, in the shower room is among them. Now he thinks several of the old thermostats don't work and the whole system will have to be drained again.
After a prolonged dry spell the heavens have opened and once again we have water ingress into the cellar. Not huge quantities, but it was drying out nicely.
Also leaks in the roof. MrSlim has contacted a roofer but he hasn't even given us a date yet. I am begining to wonder if he doesn't want the job. It's a very high roof and he will need to hire lifting equipment and get permission from the Mairie to block the pa enant while he works. Perhaps he thinks it's too much faff?
I feel for you. I have a bed whose base can be manipulated like a hospital one but my reclining chair and a blanket is my go to when the pain gets in the way of any thoughts of getting into that bed. Thankfully not as often as it used to be.7.1 at 05.30 sitting on the edge of my bed! Dropped to 6.9 by the time I got through to the kitchen.
I actually managed to lay down for about 4 hours last night. Hip really bad by the time I got up, but it was a relief to lay down for a while.

Interesting art bit @dunelmGood morning everyone on the morning after the storm here in the dark, dangerous and quite blustery north. Not much of storm as these things go but a fair portion of wind and rain for about 18 hours.
5.8 this a.m.
Fire lit last night. The flicker from the flames and the heat from the stove cheered us up while that rain bounced about outside. Must reorganise the wood store this morning. The kindling is buried a bit under some logs and hard to access.
Slowly using up things in both the kitchen freezer and the one in the garage and a change of routine for this next week; different meals! I will be using up some non FODMAP things that have been lurking, in need using up and making other things for Mrs Miggins. Need to get some chicken wings today as I have run out of stock for gravy - shop bought far too iffy for Mrs Miggins. What fun! It’s like the tale of Jack Sprat and his wife.
Art bit - not much - ink on wet watercolour paper.
Hope your day is tolerable. I best make some koffy and marvel at how my lower back is so considerate in reminding the chimp inside my brain that lifting and moving heavy objects is actually not that good of an idea.
