11.4 again at 02.30 - 11/2 hours sleep. Still 10.9 after painkillers and tea so I took both basal and a small dose of bolus insulin and it brought it down to 7.4 by the time I had dozed in the chair for another hour.
Neil went to a GP appointment this morning at 08.30 but came back not having seen anyone. He got to the Health Centre, which was open, but there was nobody at the desk, the bell that is often there, had been removed and the automatic check in wasn't working. He waited but nobody came to the desk and eventually he gave up and came home - by the time he gave up it was half an hour past his appointment time any way and there were others waiting as well. He'll have to phone later and see if he can find out what happened and get another appointment (hens might grow teeth and pigs might fly). He was his usual quiet self, but I could tell that inside he was seething.
