Good grief MC you must be psychic I have just been reading about them...the health issues & the fact they cannot go outside...I haven't made any commitment at all and later this afternoon I shall be consulting with my neighbour Olivia aged 9 about which cat to choose...yesterday she arrived at my door with a bunch of roses...a card...and a home made brownie then burst into tears...so she and I will put our heads together and choose something suitable...one that Churchill would approve of.Hi @HarryBeau, like @jjraak says beautiful cats but do your home work
Just saying to @Muddy Cyclist jjraak they look beautiful but there are some traits that I don't think would be suitable for this house they are indoor cats so all the outside space would be wasted...besides I'm not sure Churchill would approve...what I do know is this house seems soulless without a fur baby or two here...so doing my research later with my cat consultant Olivia (aged 9) and we'll find one 'Churchie' would approve of.Beautiful cats.
I'm sure you will make a great choice, all th best.Good grief MC you must be physic I have just been reading about them...the health issues & the fact they cannot go outside...I haven't made any commitment at all and later this afternoon I shall be consulting with my neighbour Olivia aged 9 about which cat to choose...yesterday she arrived at my door with a bunch of roses...a card...and a home made brownie then burst into tears...so she and I will put our heads together and choose something suitable...one that Churchill would approve of.
I am glad the little girl did that...she must have been so fond of Churchill and it must have been a great comfort to you. Just my opinion but I prefer moggies...when G passed I went to the Cats Protection and got the two girls who were each under a year (5 months & 9 months and though not from the same litter they did come from the same home so were socialised) and never looked back. Might be worth considering.Good grief MC you must be physic I have just been reading about them...the health issues & the fact they cannot go outside...I haven't made any commitment at all and later this afternoon I shall be consulting with my neighbour Olivia aged 9 about which cat to choose...yesterday she arrived at my door with a bunch of roses...a card...and a home made brownie then burst into tears...so she and I will put our heads together and choose something suitable...one that Churchill would approve of.
Yes I prefer moggies too PM...I have registered with Wood Green Animal Charity I'm waiting for them to come back to me to see if they can find me a kitty or possibly two...either way if I can adopt one or have to buy one this house needs a cat or two.but I prefer moggies..

4.8 today on libre
Just been to town to pick up a parcel. Popped into charity shop. Spoke to a lovely lady I spoke to about a year ago. She told me then she was pre diabetic at that time so I asked how she was getting on. She went for her bloods in may bit nothing was said to her. Ahe is worried as she cant feel her feet at all! They feel like stone. I asked if she had a dry mouth 'terribly dry' she said. Itchy skin (which I had) swollen legs. Queue forming so we had to leave it. She did say she was eating bread, rice, pasta and potatoes. Not keen on fruit. I advised her to make a gp.appointment. I hope she does. She is such a lovely lady.

That is so very sadFBG 7 this morning. Small wonder as I ate some comfort food last night in the form of a peanut butter sandwich. Around midnight I got a text saying my friend's son had died suddenly. I just hope my friend was able to travel to be with his wife as she has not been well.
As alwaysPerfect...You got it!
Soooo good to see you back.6.4.
Mind you that was after 3 cups of tea, with sweetener, so probably a poor example test.
But it is what it is...
Right, my sabbatical over..
Enjoy the day all.
Major hugs, @HarryBeau
Thinking of you today.
Had our little Street cat pop up last night.
Seems I've been using the HER laptop, without permission..
So last night she reclaimed it.
Finders Keepers, losers weepers, indeed.:***:

Did you enclose a SAE?After my 7.2 fasting I tested 1 hour after eating breakfast then 2 hours after - both times 7.2 then a rapid drop to 5.1.
am going to write a memo to my pancreas.
Dear Pancreas - if you can manage my kefir, yoghurt, flaxseeds and flaked almond breakfast with absolutely no rise in BS why on earth can't you do the same when fbs are between 4.8 and 5.7. I will let know if my Pancreas replies.
Grrrrrrrrr ........ sigh ........ giggle ...........
On September 17th I ordered a book online from a reputable bookseller. On September 18th I got an e-mail acknowledging my order.
Then ... silence.
On September 25th I e-mailed the bookseller asking when they thought the book would be shipped.
I got a reply e-mail saying the book had been accepted by the post office.
Oh, great, I thought. Not. Most unreliable, least informative shipper IME. But has Media Post, and I can't complain about a bookseller using the lowest-cost shipping method especially since they weren't charging me the shipping fees.
So now, armed with a tracking number, I go to the post office website to track the order. As usual, no information. No updates. So I register for Informed Delivery.
Yay! Suddenly updates start binging on my phone! Yay!
Grrrr.
The book was shipped out of New Jersey on the 18th.
7 days later it arrived in Pennsylvania, 150 miles down the road. Great. Heading in the right direction!
Apparently on foot.
24 hours after, it arrived in Illinois. 600 miles to the west.
WHAT???!!!???
Sigh.
It is obviously wandering in the wilderness.
Gotta giggle.
And trust it will not take it 40 years to get to me. I've already waited nearly 60 for this edition of this book.
