What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Good morning this dreary day with an equally dreary reading of 6 at 6 a.m.

Mrs MC's ordered, sorry asked me to do some decorating today so it's a good job it's damp outside I will not feel so cheated of a bike ride.

So many of us in need of comfort and encouragement today. I sincerely hope you all find peace of mind, some joy and tenderness throughout your day and are able to follow @ianpspurs example and remember to count our blessings along the way

Morning... a terrible day yesterday... towards the early evening I saw Churchill was in awful pain...rushed him to the vets had to make the awful decision to have him put to sleep...feeling shell shocked & sad
So sad, such times are so difficult, hope you can find some comfort from happier memories.

6.4 this morning. I am on my way to Bristol for the diabetes research interview. Though nearly didn’t make it, my taxi was booked for 7:45 it turned up at 8:20. I rushed to get my ticket. Then had to cross to the other platform by lift as I got in the lift to go down the train was pulling in. Rushed down the platform then performed a ‘miracle’ as I stood up threw my chair on and walked onto the train as I was too late for a wheelchair ramp. Way more stress and panic than I wanted to start the day with. Oh and I got a text from Roberta (lady doing my interview) the lift is out of order at the place we are holding the meeting, so she’s come up with a couple of alternative suggestions.

Oh how horrible. I am so sorry. Making the same right decision for my sweet tabby girl a couple of years ago was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. You were brave to do the right thing for your kitty. Hugs and prayers.

You are made of stouter stuff than I. I think I would have thrown the chair back in the taxi and said Take me home. I admire your perseverance and forbearance. I hope Roberta's alternatives turned out to be practicable and that the interview is going a lot more smoothly than the beginning of this journey.

Morening, another quick one. Busy busy on national bin day.

8.3 this morning tried some late night food last night. Won't be doing that again. Still it's below 10 therefore ok.

Have a good bin day folks. Oh and please shed a tear for those lying, cheating self severing politicians who have to return to work today...

Ah, if only they were self "severing"! ;)

FBG 7 this morning. Small wonder as I ate some comfort food last night in the form of a peanut butter sandwich. Around midnight I got a text saying my friend's son had died suddenly. I just hope my friend was able to travel to be with his wife as she has not been well.

Thanks saskia, I guess I’m lucky that I can stand up and walk into the train. A few years ago I wouldn’t have been able to. Fortunately by the time I arrived they had fixed the lift so all was well there. Interview went well, I hope I gave her useful answers. I’ve just had some lunch and got an hour now until my train home.

Oh dear how sad. There is so much sadness today. Lets hold hands and hug virtually to support each other. Maybe you can find a suitable emoticon.

I have just read your post. You must be feeling absolutely awful today but you did the very best for him and he is no longer in awful pain. He had a wonderful life with you and knew you loved him very much.

So sorry for you, it's never easy to let a furpal go even when it's the best or only thing to do.

Aww, HarryBeau. So sorry to hear this. You must be feeling devastated. Such a horrible situation to be in but you made the only and kindest decision possible under the circumstances. Sending virtual hugs.
