Goodness MC that was a happy escape. Better a sore wallet than head and lucky no bones were broken. Hope you and Mrs MC have a quiet rest of day.Lunch time and 6.7 before eating probably the shock of having to spend 135 quid on a new Mountain Bike Helmet. A very muddy ride and an embarrassing huge crash, my own fault for speeding down hill and forgetting all the rain would make the sharp bend at the bottom a little slippy, bike and I parted company, I experienced Super Man type of flight for 15 feet abruptly coming to a halt when my head made contact with the floor. Still my head is in one piece even if my wallet is feeling sore.
Mrs MC is back from her moms and would not let me in the house until she had hosed me down, I was living up to my name Muddy Cyclist.
What a lovely start to your dayand an extra hour. Monday was always laundry day when I was growing up. Now the boys are gone mine has halved and just gets divided into darks and lights twice a week with towels and sheets separate. Is your communal laundry room friendly if so no need to beat the crowds

I am not long back from thr All Souls seevice which as in a tiny church in the fields 5 mins drive from me. It doesnt have electricity so we are lit by candles and it is cold but brings me closer to my departed mum, MIL who was one of my most real friends and FIL than anything. Shed a few tears as usual but in a real atmosphere.I remember one All Saints Sunday. It was my friend Leslie's birthday, or would have been had she not died some 10 years earlier. She was the friend who, thanks to her experience with cats, helped me convert to cats.
On that particular All Saints Sunday I sort of wanted to go to church to sing "For All the Saints," but I really didn't know anyone at the local church that had the good pipe organ and choir. And my friend Molly was going to adopt a part-Siamese cat. It was only a few months after her beloved Meezer had died.
So I went with Molly to see the rescue kitty, to honor our friendship and my friendship with another cat friend, Leslie, whose birthday it was.
And now I'm happily sitting in the comfort of my own home, with my KittenCat asleep on the warm clean T-shirts, about to watch the processional of the online, live All Saints Sunday service from a local church here that has a good pipe organ to which I used to sing in the choir; I can sing along today. I still know all 8 verses.
Wow. The celebrant has a very fine new chasuble.
Cool. Sung. That was fun.

I had no idea why I couldn't access this site for a couple of days. I got presented with a white page with the tiniest writing on the top saying 403 error and access denied because I was not authorised Etc.
I had no idea what happened. But I understand reading backwards they were doing something to this site. They knew in advance, yet nothing was on the site, no banner across the top before the site went down. I thought this was completely gone. Just wiped out.
I have enough of my own problems at the moment as regards the Cochlear Implant, the Apple update on my iPhone which completely messed all aspects of functionality with with Speech Processor, making the iPhone nothing more than a glorified bloated expensive coffee mat. It has caused the Speech Processor to malfunction.
I am not the only one. There are thousands of deaf hearing aid people and cochlear people and BaHa users across the globe who are victims to this update of Apple wrecking so much and causing all alerts to go right into our skulls frightening the living daylights out of us. There was no advance warning that this was going to happen. Prior to that all alerts were from the phone, not directly transmitted into our neural pathways at the loudness level of being stuck inside Big Ben as it is chiming midnight. This update has traumatised me as regards sounds and unexpected noises and aggravated my non-stop tinnitus making it worse because it has incorporated the in the skull loud noise alerts within it. And it has also done the same to countless others.
Apple still haven't sorted it, and as I don't have a working phone because of this I had to get another phone...an Android. So I am learning how to use that, and how to customise alerts so that I get no alerts apart from a vibration. I cannot deal with noise/sound alerts in any shape or form at the moment.
So, I will be absent for a bit now. I was upset when I couldn't access this site and got presented with a 403 error page for a couple of days.
Best wishes. Take care.

House renovation finished. On market this week. Catching up on a few jobs (neglected my own house!) Then I'm full on with the diabetes battle. Still got to reply to DUK but want to take time with that so not rushing. Work in progress as to which direction to go re testing strips and lchf advice complaint but that will get sorted over next couple.of weeks. Diabetes month so a great time to take action. And much more....but will have lots of time until my next project. You are so lovely. Such fab people on this thread. Miss them when I get behind.@Debandez thanks for the report on how yesterday panned out. It sounds absolutely fantastic and such a spirit of hope for people who dont know how to help themselves. It is surprising that so many HCPs are not up to speed about carbs. The menu looked great too and illustrating that there are lots of options on LC. A really big WELL DONE to you Deb for using your time, energy and fabulousness to help spread that message of hope.
Why the fast Deb. Always trying to work out IF. If I should be doing it.Morning all and White Rabbits. 4.8 for me this morning as I had my last meal at 3pm yesterday. Going to try to fast til 3 today.
@HarryBeau I was so sad to read about the kittens, what a terrible blow and what devastating consequences. You’re absolutely right about people not caring or bothering to have their pets neutered.
@Muddy Cyclist hope the loud tv isn’t too painful on your banging head!
