What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

This sounds so familiar HB do you have problems emptying the tumble dryer? Dennis is so adept at sneaking under my arm and bolting with a sock or pair of pants, he is so quick and sneaky.
The photos of your 2 are lovely, especially where they are cuddling contentedly as they sleep.

Posting a bit late but 5.4 today, an improvement on yesterday. What's even better is that I have had my first ever reading in the 3s today. Measured 3.8 around 2:30. Mind you unintentionally missed lunch to achieve that.

That is really interesting. I originally thought that I was the only person this happened to. It is actually really good to know that it is how the body works because, perhaps, the body has no other way to deal with the excess protein safely - so the glucose can either be stored or used as fuel. Quite clever really.

Great FBG and readings generally. The only times I have had FBGs in the 4s was when I was on hols in Cornwall and eating fish and well drinking like one every night .

Ah! A pheasant plucker - Do you sift thistles?

She is a thistle sifter
and she has a sieve of sifted thistles,
and a sieve of unsifted thistles,
and the sieve of unsifted thistles
she sieves into the sieve of sifted thistles.
Because she is a thistle sifter.

Up earlier, but out to meet Lauren for lunch.

had a good week so far...all mornign FBG's and pre food BG's in the McGarett Zone..Love it

Out monday gym
Tuesday Lazy day
wed met our steph in chiniatown.
(yeah, i know..we discussed it before we went.. we live in london, use tubes all the time or buses, how do all the people get anywhere, Chinese, tourists, locals, all by TUBE or BUS..so no safer on the tube then Chinatown so we risked it.)

Nice beer in De Heims a dutch bar in Chinatown itself,mmhh... Mid week, early jan, but it 'felt' quieter all round.

Wander off after a nice catch up to the wong kei, been going for years, 5 floors of restaurants lots of chinese., normally..always a good recommendation, in my book, for any foreign food is if their nationals eat there.)

But it was like the marie celeste when we got to first floor...
(ground had a few in, but rare to be seated downstairs.)
never seen it so quiet, was as stated mid Jan, but rarely have we been the only diners, above the ground floor.

BUT food was nice..duck noodle, salt n chilli spare ribs, steph had shredded steak with vegetables,
(that steak was EXCELLENT, Btw)

Off to M & M world, (dear God.) ..4 floors of sweetshop selling...M & M's...only..
really JUST M & M's

well merchandised to be fair, every thing and anything you could wish for with M & M's on
and the power of marketing... we pooh pooh'd it as we walked around YET STILL ended buying a box of Colourful sweeties for stephs flatmate at an exorbitant price..hey ho.

Home later...some 3+ hours after meter says 6.2..so not too bad.

..and today out with Lauren again for indian..

again a masalla dosa, one BIG tiger Cobra beer,
but NO rice..
tested once home, on my NEW meter...5.3
old meter just to cross check...5.4....whoop whoop

new meter the updated Code free the NAVII

If you call home health or email and explain you want to buy 100 strips, they give you a link
(was one posted on another thread but i couldn't get it to work)

IF you buy the 100 strips on there WITH the meter, at payout they deduct the meter costs,
so i paid £12..£6 a pot for the strips (2x 50 in each pot) plus one new Meter.

And the meter comes with 10 strips and all you need (battery, lancets, etc)
supposedly MORE accurate and needs less bloods,
never had an issue with the old one, but hey it was a good deal AND it's new and shiny..

whats NOT to Like..

Just like Charlie and Lola, sleeping off all that protein!

I do like a nice crispy dustbin lid of a dosa, brilliant. We have some friends who have a dosa place in Sheffield.
Congrats on the twin-o-meter readings

They wait by the tumble dryer when I open the door...watch the washing machine though it's various cycles...I have to double check I've closed both the doors or I know they'd be straight in there...actually now you've mentioned it it's gone very quiet there I must check on them...they had a massive cuddle session last night what you can't see is my leg underneath their little bodies...they were like little angels until almost 10:30pm...then it was mayhem!

Some houses were not built with 3 bins in mind, ours is one of them. Then having seen the video of bins breaking for freedom this morning, I had a brain wave, don't have those very often. The old corner seat is now a bin store, bins can't escape, they are well hidden and my carbon footprint must be well ahead for the year, dead chuffed, just needs a coat of paint.

So here is the transformation, took me most of the day though. Oh, and before you ask this is a picture of me and Mrs MC 2 years ago when we were a bit chunky, I am now 11st 7lbs and Mrs MC 7 st 11lbs

Now to do my daily painting.

Nice to 'Meet' you properly.

Lovely Pic..
