Sending hugs for the lurgy, hope it doesnt linger. I prescribe soup, sofa, rug, tv and kittens.Morning… very snotty this morning with sticky eyes feel like there is a stinker of a cold coming...definitely comfort food today putting a large pot of homemade chicken soup on the stove...wanted to stay in bed but have someone arriving at 9am hopefully to give me a quote for cutting the hedge...its a monster hedge running the length of the garden some of it must be eight foot...wait until the poor man sees it...it's got to the point where we cant deal with it...want it cut right back then I can trim it myself...must make some effort to tidy C & L's mess before the gardener arrives...woke to a 6.2 excuse me there is the tiniest 'squeak' behind me Lola is demanding attention must attend to her before I get the claw in the back.
It is so lovely to see the kittens so happy and contented. Thanks PM I'm still experimenting so overall I'm expecting ups & downs so not disappointed...and how could I start my day with a frown with these two

I might just do that - how heavenly, no rugby, cricket or F1.I'm sure we could reach a deal, I also have some ear plugs used for amplified gigs, not often these days though. However our TV does not do Sport Programs so come here and you won't need the ear plugs.
A quick trip to collect a prescription then that exactly what I plan to do PMSending hugs for the lurgy, hope it doesnt linger. I prescribe soup, sofa, rug, tv and kittens.
I have got one of those also - have had it for almost 51 years. The word diabetes also shuts it down completely and so do the words "you are eating too many carbs'.Already got one of those. It's called a hubsta. Had it 33 years and has taught itself it 'switch off' when necessary. Funnily enough the word diabetes usually shuts it down completely ;-)
Hmm. If heaven is at all like that I'm very worried. Surely someone would have said sooner if that was true.I might just do that - how heavenly, no rugby, cricket orF1.
They are content &full of beans Krystyna...still charging around until after midnight last night! It is so lovely to see the kittens so happy and contented.
I think that retails as The SaintI have got one of those also - have had it for almost 51 years. The word diabetes also shuts it down completely and so do the words "you are eating too many carbs'.
@gennepher what a handsome boy your Popeye is and what a talented lady you are.
I was watching an interview with a man in Wuhan earlier in the week who had a Chinese wife and a few weeks old baby. They havent been able to have any of the usual medical checks on the baby due to medical centres being no go areas. He had the dilemma of whether he should apply to travel to the UK and whether his wife and baby would be allowed on the flight. I hope you arent coming down with anything but as we know only too well BG can shoot up for no particular reason. Take care today.
5.1 today, a surprise as I didn’t get to sleep until after 3am. No idea why, just couldn’t drop off so kept getting up to make tea: PG tips bag in a mug, a dash of almond milk, (not boiled) I can drink any sort of downmarket tea and can’t tell the difference between them. Coffee is a different story.
@gennepher was Popeye a good sitter? It’s a lovely painting.
@PenguinMum sounds like you have a good relaxing weekend ahead with your son. Can’t beat a homemade curry.
@OldButBold thanks for giving my brain a little workout this morning- I thought it was Gaelic when I first read it! Good thing @ianpspurs was on the ball so quickly. In my defence I hadn’t had coffee at that point.
@HarryBeau sorry about impending lurgy again, hope it’s a fast lived one, doesn’t seem long since you got over the last one.
Your great run of FBG continues. Are you still following the DD menu? I found it interesting what you posted about 4oz protein/6 oz on bone recommended in DS. I dont adhere to that at home more 6oz and steak is 8oz. If I buy mince in packs of 400g or 450g I try to make three portions and freeze one which comes in handy for Mr PM on my omelette nights. Though Mr PM does get a bigger portion sometimes.5.1 today, a surprise as I didn’t get to sleep until after 3am. He was in the Navy, first word war, not sure where he sailed to though, good question the answer to which I will never know.I wonder if your grandad had been to India or maybe Africa and got used to Chai making. When I worked in East Aftrica, tea was made by adding leaves to milk, chucking in loads of sugar and then boiling the bejesus out of it.
Grand fence painting, can you come up and do ours?
They do have their uses thoughI have got one of those also - have had it for almost 51 years. The word diabetes also shuts it down completely and so do the words "you are eating too many carbs'.
