@gennepher the storm seems to be passing over now here. Powerback and feeling more positive it will stay. Hope you and Popeye are safe amd well and with power! Hope when you get out in the garden tomorrow it wont be too bad. This has been 1 of 3 very bad storms we have had here in the 15 years we have been here.
So sorry to hear that it was some storm and you were so unlucky in its timing. I hope you and Mr SL can salvagesome of it. Hugs to you.10-02-2020

Not time to catch up now.
Storm Ciara blew the scaffold over in the night. Luckily damage was not so bad as in my nightmare later, where both dormers and the living room wall were destroyed. Going out there now.
Surprisingly after a very disturbed night.

I'm with you and @Muddy Cyclist on that one. That is absolutely what motivates me to keep on with the low carbs. The big driver for me is to not lose a foot or my eyesight -
I do so love your painting - it is very atmospheric. I am sure they will like it tremendously. Some of you may remember my watercolour sea scape commission A1 size. Well being kept in by the storm inspired me to start it. However I managed to finish it, almost A1, well it will be once I get a 2 inch border around it and the frame so a bit of a cheat. So here it is and I ain't doing another so they had better like it.....

@Chris12345 welcome to this crazy mixed up corner of the forum.
@jjraak and @gennepher can I arrive in my VW campervan, cooker, fridge, own electricity (well at least for 3 days) an outside gas hob and a gas Caddac ( BBQ type of thing) and I can always fill my large onboard water tank with Gin. Starts to make the apocalypse sound quite attractive.
I'm with you guys on wanting to keep limbs, eyesight, kidneys etc. Very sceptical about low carbs for me though. My results just seem to be the same as any other drastic diet . The effect on my bg is an embarrassment. You on the other hand are at the opposite end of the spectrum. Seems to support N=1 as about all we can really say.I'm with you and @Muddy Cyclist on that one. That is absolutely what motivates me to keep on with the low carbs.
Hug for the fallen tower but easy to see why you would fall in love with the house.@PenguinMum You are right. In my nightmare was calculating the cost of the
(Imaginary) damage.View attachment 38473View attachment 38474View attachment 38475
