Mine have been all over the place for the last few months john...I'm doing the best I can in the current circumstances so I am just getting on with it...when T2 plays with us there is little we can do about it...blimey still having to go out to work but as you say we have to eat & pay the bills...keep safe & travel well.

I must clarify I'm working from home, but am only putting in 9hrs a day not my usual 12hrs. My workplace is still working full tilt as we were designated "essential" by the Government, we maintain a major trunk road in the North East, so I help out with the Admin side of things at the minute and not performing my usual role. So I apologise for giving the impression that I was travelling to work. Mind you the daily "commute" from couch to my temp office is more strenuous than normal as I avoid the furry speed bumps that are Sidekick Sid and Princess Trixie! oh and the constant barking at me as I'm not sat on the couch!

My early morning studio today in the garden...
It is in the shade, which is the best place for any artwork.
I have a few parasols which I move round the garden to keep my artwork n the shade or else I cannot do artwork in the direct sunlight.

I have a few small sketchbooks like the one you see there (that has a quick pastel on it), and each page is pre painted with a wash of acrylic paint in different colours. Then, I can grab a page at any moment and do a quick sketch, illustration, etc in any media.

The pastel conte crayons enable me to do more precise detail on the pastel paintings.

That little Collins book there on Weather will be my inspiration for my cloud pastel studies. J bought it for me...

Ahh bless them they need to keep your spirits up...it must be a relief to be working from home & not having to travel thank goodness for that...as for Sid & Trixie it's their duty to keep you on your toes....wonder how they'll react when you reclaim the sofa

Missing someone who had such presence in your life is difficult even after all those years gennepher but what wonderful memories you made...the pottery & art works are a real legacy...if it's not too intrusive I'd love to see more of it.

Very interesting 2 hours after breakfast reading - 6.2.

So before eating 6.8 2 hrs after eating 6.2. Makes no sense.

What I have noticed is that if my fbs is in the high 4s or low 5s my 2 hour after eating BS will be between 6.2 and 6.8. Which you would probably normally expect - a raise of around 2.0 or under which is good.

If my fbs is between 6.2 and 6.8 my 2 hour after eating BS will be somewhere between 6.2 and 6.8. Sometimes, like this morning, the 2 hour BS will be lower than the fbs. I can't work out what is happening - why isn't there a rise of around 2.0 like I would have normally.

Maybe I should just stop puzzling about it because there is probably no rhyme or reason for it and go back to sending out funny dog videos.

They are tricky Krystyna...Harry once knocked me flat out on a short afternoon walk fortunately it was on a grassed area so no injuries...but I happened to be speaking to a group of dog walkers at the time.
Ah - that's when they get you - when you are distracted.

Nice space and ideal for this weather. Like you I can't paint in full sunlight but enjoy outdoor painting and sketching if I can find the shade. Inspired I will start my days painting outside. We have a small garden at many different levels and 6 different areas to sit for different times of day so shade I can find and it's warm enough. You have inspired me to get started.

@dunelm yes we have become plant pot garden produce producers also. Everything so far growing great.

"....Outpost London.. day 30.

Radiation level
6.1 on the fbg scale.
inside fuel core temp
lower then yesterday at 36.3, so that's good news.

My plans seem to have gone astray.

that first few days of motivation, has now drifted from YAY..:D
to Meh.

those first few day were almost romantic.
dinner that we Rarely sat to eat together, pre working lives,
now were a daily event.

we sat chatted & enjoyed the food and company
the diet went out the window to a big extent for both of us
bg stayed reasonable for me. but not at the levels they were.
and lauren put on a little weight, she says...(..i'm taking the 5th there..:woot::bag:...)

so we got over the novelty of lockdown.
we sleep at different times so miss each other a little bit more, which is good a little more ME time for us both
i go cheer the singers late evening, lauren takes a slow walk in mornings,
so we spend better quality time together now.

the social media is keeping us sane, amused, connected & informed.

immediate family all good..laurens cousins husband (ex covid) taken into to hospital again.
so fingers crossed for him

and lately that breakfast and big dinner, has dropped to a good breakfast, and a lighter dinner
poached eggs in toast / cold meats cheese olives and some tear n share bread..nice.

just can't seem bothered on the evenings so much

checked weight, now 201lbs..so a little down from other day.

news from the front lines, over 50's and obese..(aka anyone not anorexic, it seems)
to stay in.

PPE still an ongoing issue,

now DENTISTS.:watching:

had not thought of them as being possibly THE MOST affected after doctors intubating.

see one chap pulled his own molar out..:wideyed::hungover:

expected 10 min job..hour and a half..:wideyed::***:

so the debate rumbles on, as do we.

i try to keep a sensible level about all things,

and that yard arm rule, is still strictly 7pm.

light at end of tunnel, so they say......."

Painting for today. A quick one because I have been enjoying the sun...
Pastel...
A sky...from a thumbnail pic in the book I posted this morning...

Now, this second pastel, I did NOT do today.
I used a photo of the Fairy Glen in Betws-y-Coed, Wales. But I substituted the cliff faces that projected at the sides with people's faces. You can see John's face in the middle. He lived near Betws-y-Coed as a teenager.

The colours were more mossy green than this, the photograph made it a bit yellow.

@gennepher liked both of these very much, glad you have been getting your vitamin D fix.

Tesco today felt safe although I was still nervous and alert, I fear shopping will be like this for some time to come.

Next door neighbour was visited by her sis in law, sister of neighbours husband who died last week. This lady got back from Spain a day before they locked that country down, she lives there half the year, and was coughing something aweful, she walked past me in my front garden and muttered don't worry it's just a cold, of course I was and am.

Daughters visit with granddaughter was lovely even though 30 foot apart, we all did say though how awkward we felt, questioning if we should be seeing each other even though we were a good distance apart, they did stay 1 hour so much to catch upon. Grandaughter seems to have completely accepted the social distancing situation happily chatting from a distance.

Started my daily painting of the Black Cullins on Sky will try and finish it later.

Thank you @Muddy Cyclist for the compliment

Not good with the coughing lady...
I hope all is well with that.

I will look in later for your painting

Take care
