It was very pioneering, I remember my first PDP 11 with two 20k discs, they are huge, I thought I could rule the world. Still have some of those discs and magnetic cards in my loft. :) The discs had a file of liquid on them, if they got badly knocked it would turn red and all data lost.

I had one of the first Ford Escort XR3i s and moving office with a boot full of discs MRs MC rolled it 3 times on Cannock Chase, missed all trees but discs were scattered everywhere, when she rang me, days before mobiles, I made the unforgivable and always to be reminded mistake asking, " Are the discs all intact?" Before asking "Are you OK?" Will never be allowed to forget that. :)
Of course you will never be allowed to forget that.☺
Was Mrs MC OK and did the discs survive intact?

Good morning everyone on a quiet and undetermined start here in the dark and dangerous north
The wonder wheel of Heck sausages, eggs and mushrooms dropped in at 4.6 this am

It snowed - “oh no, what shall we do?” But then it all went away and no encore during the night. Pubs getting ready to sell booze in open topped busses. Never really been a pub person, I find them mainly too noisy and I don’t drink beer. I would like to, but there it is. We have been promised strong winds and sunny intervals today by the page of buffoonery and fake news that is the BBC weather page - currently bright skies and little movement in the trees and plants - it could change I suppose.
The coaltits are back, checking things out but I think that I got the identification wrong and they may be greattits - @lindisfel?

Bit lazy with painting yesterday but nevertheless. Hope everyone has a good day. Time for koffy

4.5 this morning. Not looking forward to the early morning dog walk. It is really sunny but very cold.

Must get going with admin and lesson planning today. Have enjoyed relaxing, walking and reading over the bank holiday but really need to get motivated to do some work.

I deleted a Mah Jong app on my tablet as I was spending too much time playing it. I do sometimes (often) have problems doing things in moderation. Have also cut down my daily coffees to 4 a day. I won't post just how many I have been drinking as it was a shocking amount. Nespresso have now issued a profit warning because of a dramatic dip in sales in Norfolk.

Well, Dunelm, when seen well they do look different to me, beside plumage the size difference is significant.

I learnt not correct peoples birds, I was on the County records committee for 15 years some years ago and occasionally birders didn't like our decisions on their rarity submissions.
When pictures became more normal in submissions there wasn't usually much argument.

Beautiful morning in Cumbria, shame we have two Zoom meetings this am.

Marjorie's doing Tai Chi at 1000 and I have got a 2 hour Emeritus group discussion with more old men from 1000.
At least I shall be using the Den upstairs and look out over the countryside and the better half needs more room to do a slow prance around the living room downstairs.

And why not be lazy, a tranquil bay lined with magnificent cliffs, where better to be lazy?

Cloudless cold morning in very wintry Bath - frosty start to the day. As @muddycyclist said "ne'er cast a cloot tae May is oot"! Photo of Bath attached - brrrr.

Arthur had his gallop, sniffed the biggest Irish wolfhound I've ever seen (could've entered it into a horse race), spoke to the local PCSOs, bought them a coffee, they loved Arthur as always and now back home.

Call to the MidEast just finished, checking all my travel paperwork, case packed, tech packed, all the Covid clear paperwork and vaccination confirmation packed...

Off on the 1313 today to Paddington, quick run into Boots at Padd, Heathrow Express to T2, hotel. Journey start!

FBG was 5.9 at 530am and just a mo ago it was 5.4.
Dinner last night was so healthy...I hope to keep this up on my travels.

Tomorrow - my first scheduled airline flight in the Covid era - my last journey like that was March 2020, week before the world in the UK stood still...

Now a breakfast of eggs, bacon, mushrooms and apparently 1 sausage to fortify, along with some nice coffee.

Will walk across the bridge with MrsBRS, chat a while then I is awrf!

Have a wonderful Tuesday one and all!
Check-in in laters alligators!
