Cat Jade catches her supper!
There is a mouse nest in the back garden down the sides of one of my now frogless ponds...it kept Popeye supplied with his daily mouse for supper - the secret of long life?

Creative - a workman in a high vis jacket coming out of a garage. There should be a bit more of the top of his head !

I couldn't breathe last night in my bedroom. It was too hot.
I had the window open, but there wasn't any moving air coming in.
So this morning I got my fans out, but they needed cleaning from the dust of last year. I cleaned one using damp cotton buds and stuff. And a drop of WD-40 on the moving part. But it did take me over an hour just to do one.

So I think that will be my jobs for today...

The sun just said hello and goodbye... there is heavy cloud cover now...

And Midnight has lost his soggy chicken...

A nap and a cuppa tea beckons...

Have your best kind of day...

As long as I do not put my stockinged foot on a soggy chicken, I will be fine today...

Good morning everyone from a ‘will the sun shine today’ morning here in the dark and dangerous north. Up and out this morning, down onto the beach with the ninky nonks looking for treasure. Then up into the woods to collect garlic leaves for their mum before heading home for cheese toasties. All done and dusted by 0930. All quiet now at they have all departed. Art bit, not much free time so a quick sketch. Hope your day is going well.
Very productive and doubtless hugely enjoyable early morning for young and not so young. Thank you for sharing your sketch.

Morning, cloudy, full but no rain and cooler.

Gotta get the mower out this afternoon as visitor from housing tomorrow afternoon, total clean up tomorrow morning and the grass defo needs an hair cut, a stylish short, back and sides.
Flowers are really coming on really good. So pleased.

Must crack on or crack off. As the language would have it.

Can't believe, or I can two things. The footie season is over and Lancs are bottom after getting beat today.

Hopefully back later.
I finished the Bletchley Circle, series last night. Very good.

My best wishes to you lot as per on this etc.

Too much in the air to make definite plans yet...
Hopefully it will work out easily once their travel plans are decided on...
Son2 was running in MK marathon today. Great time PB 4hrs 10 seconds. Afterwards he was planning to drive to Portsmouth and get the ferry here. Luckily his sister has some influence and simply told him he would not be safe to drive that far - otherwise we may have had visitors for breakfast tomorrow.

Lawn done and found that an animal had been digging.
bar steward. Have had problems with neighbours cat but not him I thinks.
some salad while watching play offs. Lovely gammon, beef toms included.

gotta go, tea required in Mrs L 's mug.
Her wisdom knows no bounds, the deeper the water the longer the tea remains tastier!
And of course, the more the better!

Latest, first (paid) deported asylum seeker has gone missing in Rwanda.
You can't write this stuff!
Latest, according to tories, hung parliament after next election.
According to reliable polls, tories less than 100 seats.
Latest, tories using scare tactics,
tories less than economic with truth.
Latest, according to government figures, borrowing for recent tax cuts, is not sustainable without a plan to cut government jobs and resources. And more borrowing!
Surprised! Not me!

We need a substantial change in political thinking of how the country is run.
People not economy.

Badgers & Fox have a busy night

Creative - one continuous line squiggle of a man walking in front of the shops...

We were supposed to have a thunderstorm but it never happened. Some stuff needs watering now...
Everything is drying out fast....

Have your best kind of day.

Time for a cuppa...

What! People not economy! But fat cats are a protected species and you will flippantly destroy their habitats.

Good morning everyone on a cold and chilly sea fret start here in the dark and dangerous and not very visible at present, north. We are now back to the peace and quiet of the early morning. It’s always wonderful to have the grandchildren here but it’s very full on and quite exhausting after a couple of days. Keeps us on our toes mind, and cheaper than gym membership. Or is it? Found out yesterday that the observer who prepared many of us riders in the NE for our IAM and RoSPA advanced rider qualifications has died. Smashing bloke. Awaiting funeral details. I expect the local Blood Bike Emergency Volunteer Service group will provide an escort. Meanwhile, back on dry land - art bit - a bunch of trees - never quite sure how many trees there are in a bunch. For crabs down on the sea front, it’s three. Hope your day contains tasty protein. I really must have another koffy.
