Hi@Freema sorry about the gout its terrible and so very painful I agree having had it latter end of last year, apart from BG readings I can't complain been for more dressings changed today and it's looking good, clean and reducing nicely.
It's been lovely warmish sunshine here has well and it's so very welcome after this long winter weather we've all had, hope your gout settles soon and good luck to us both with our BG levels. Just checked mine 4.5 before my meal ??? Whatever it is is a mystery after I've eaten the curry I'm making!!! K

@Freema Could be hydration related maybe. Years ago I had gout when I used to train hard (running in bin liners and sweat suits). Brilliant for weight loss but need to maintain hydration and salt levels. Gout pain is worse than broken bones. I played about half a rugby match with a broken ankle but wouldn't have been able to walk with the gout. I imagine the stress would impact bg levels.

I think it maybe has to do with suddenly taking a lot of vitamin D and Reservatol derived from red wine..maybe that is affecting my gout... we´ll see guess I´ll find out in a few weeks, I do drink a lot every day-- water and coffee.. and sometimes milk

@Freema No doubt you have done your own research, if so ignore, if not this might be useful reading https://www.goutandyou.com/gout-and-vitamin-d/

@SueJB Congratulations to you and M. One might say dig for victory.
We're being rewarded with Thali
Can you explain "OMAD and sub 20 to 35+ gms of carb"
When's your next HbA1c?

OMAD is One Meal a Day; Sub 20 is less than 20 grammes of carb a day up to 35 to 37 grammes per day; Next HbA1c is around mid June. Oh, and I used to love Thali

Thanks for the information. I do sub20 OMAD too except today when I had a lunch time Thali and it was tiny and I hadn't eaten rice since before Christmas. My birthday came early and also walked to and from the city centre and have almost clocked 10,000 steps today. Fingers crossed for madam tomorrow.
