@Freema me too I'm 6.5 this morning can't get out of the 6 s! K
Hi@Freema sorry about the gout its terrible and so very painful I agree having had it latter end of last year,apart from BG readings I can't complain been for more dressings changed today and it's looking good,clean and reducing nicely.yes this blood glucose thing is sometimes a mystery... today I experienced server gout in my feet so maybe that is what it is all about today and yesterday, so much I could hardly walk.. well did anyway it was torture and had some painkillers that only took the top so had to stop early from fitness today went out into the spring sun instead wonderful to have the sun warm ones cheeks again... hope you feel fine today dear <3![]()
@Freema Could be hydration related maybe. Years ago I had gout when I used to train hard (running in bin liners and sweat suits). Brilliant for weight loss but need to maintain hydration and salt levels. Gout pain is worse than broken bones. I played about half a rugby match with a broken ankle but wouldn't have been able to walk with the gout. I imagine the stress would impact bg levels... today I experienced server gout in my feet .... anyway it was torture and had some painkillers that only took the top so had to stop early from fitness todayr <3![]()
Once my experiment is completed & proves edible Sue... happy to share a photo & recipe...to be going on with a photo of Harry (beau) to keep you going

@Freema No doubt you have done your own research, if so ignore, if not this might be useful reading https://www.goutandyou.com/gout-and-vitamin-d/I think it maybe has to do with suddenly taking a lot of vitamin D and Reservatol derived from red wine..maybe that is affecting my gout... we´ll see guess I´ll find out in a few weeks, I do drink a lot every day-- water and coffee.. and sometimes milk
We're being rewarded with Thali@SueJB Congratulations to you and M. One might say dig for victory.
Can you explain "OMAD and sub 20 to 35+ gms of carb"5.5 today which seems a little high but the monthly average fbg stays @ 5.25 so ok for now. Lots of chopping and changing between eating windows, OMAD and sub 20 to 35+ gms of carb this month whereas usually quite settled patterns. Running average 5.3 so change may be useful overall even if some short term readings not fully to my taste.
Longish post but other people may find perspective useful.
Edit: I would think I am looking at an HbAIc in June of about 38 based on trend and 33 if that average stayed the same. My fbg is remarkably similar to average of HbA1c results. Again, just for longer term perspective if that helps newer members if not no offence taken! (May have set myself up for a big fall with those numbers)
OMAD is One Meal a Day; Sub 20 is less than 20 grammes of carb a day up to 35 to 37 grammes per day; Next HbA1c is around mid June. Oh, and I used to love ThaliWe're being rewarded with Thali

When's your next HbA1c?
Absolutely not. By August I will have 3 granddaughters, 3 daughter in laws, a wife and a female dog!WOMAD without us women?
Thanks for the information. I do sub20 OMAD too except today when I had a lunch time Thali and it was tiny and I hadn't eaten rice since before Christmas. My birthday came early and also walked to and from the city centre and have almost clocked 10,000 steps today. Fingers crossed for madam tomorrow.OMAD is One Meal a Day; Sub 20 is less than 20 grammes of carb a day up to 35 to 37 grammes per day; Next HA1bc is around mid June. Oh, and I use to love Thali
@Goonergal 0 carbs?! that's impressive.
