What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

@Goacher55 I am beginning to really warm to your turn of phrase - chums. How very Enid Blyton Beware the pitchfork carriers after that clinic epithet.
Here is an alternative to the KKKs fave takeaway if you fancy trying an LC alternative http://www.hemsleyandhemsley.com/recipe/pablos-chicken/ celeriac chips and "jobs a good 'un" as no one ever said

Morning all 5.6 for me this morning. Raining here so packing away the shorts and sandals and finding the weatherproofs....
@OrsonKartt That is real project fear stuff - shame on you sir. Shorts and sandals means shorts and sandals - take back control at once. That is not rain, it is the biased fake news media alternative facts - just you go out and see. Now, pull yourself together man. Next April we will all be eating Unicorn eggs for breakfast

Nothing wrong with Theresa May being in Africa trouble is at some point she's going to come back unless she encounters a very hungry lion on a LCHF diet which would only be natural for a carnivore.

@ding79 Over 3 years of readings recorded in my mega spreadsheet book show first 2 readings of the day considerably higher than all others. So, do what Frankie says. As long as all readings trend down it's all gravy
Thanks Ianpspurs. Low carb gravy obviously?

@ding79, the low carb gravy seriously took about 2.5 years to get right and was a very big issue for me and Mrs P - who was in charge of implementing my experiments Right up there with how do I live in a world with no bread since Lidl withdrew those rolls?

She has to come back John... after all someone has to take the blame for the possibility of a 'no deal' Brexit ...I think Boris Johnson & Jacob Rees Mogg et al will make every effort to effect her safe return...she is after all the most convenient 'whipping boy' the conservatives are ever likely to have

good afternoon all

4.4 today

was up quite early this morning but the internet connection wasn't good when I tried to post, however BT are working along the road just now so we hope for better

two walks yesterday and will be off for another shortly, lovely mild and sunny day today so have to make the most of it especially since tomorrow morning is the fasting blood draw for my 6 monthly diabetic check.

@ianpspurs the pork is excellent (well I had to test it to make sure it is ok didn't I?), and has now been carved up and stowed away for future use. I agree that low carb gravy is not easy. Thank you for your kind thoughts yesterday, much appreciated. I think of people like yourself and other friendly souls here as brothers in arms too

With regard to the sandals and socks conundrum previously discussed I happened to be sat on a seat on a corridor of Kingsmill hospital this morning when a doctor type person walked past me wearing sandals with blue socks where does that fall in the sartorial spectrum I wonder.

Yes, the bread issue is bothering me still. HiLo doesnt seem to cause too many problems for me when toasted but its not a replacement for a baguette. This weekend im going to experiment with a yorkshire pudding which is a much more important issue for me!

Been there, done that and gave up. Save Yorkshire pudding for Christmas day as a cheat treat. Yorkshire only works for me cooked under a large beef joint. Hard or crispy Yorkshire is a total waste of food, energy and effort IMHO.
