What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Good morning All. 5.4 at 0800. Cant tell you how happy that makes me. A good nights sleep in my own bed might have made a difference, who knows.
Have a good day everyone.
Really happy for you @PenguinMum and sleep is major player in bg levels and health generally, Don't get me started on my pet theory that work makes most people sick or self medicate:arghh:

Couldn’t agree more. I found out yesterday that yet another ex colleague had died after less than 2 years of retirement, he was only 61 and not the first to have taken early retirement because of stress but died shortly after. He’s the third.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and all antipodeans, a poor sadly neglected poeples who at least wear white socks wif sandals.....

A delicate 5.8 for me this morning, yep I don't understand it either, now I know it's not rocket science, but body chemistry bordering on chaos, perhaps I should ask my mates chaos and mayhem.

Well have a good one today folks. I hope to.

Thanks @ianpspurs. I was wondering what I was doing wrong while away. I only eat cold food so theres no smell of food in the house so its usually a salad of some sort. I couldnt understand why my FBG was so bad but I was up or awake in the night when my friend was sick so that probably didnt do my bloods any favour. Of course its distressing but I stay calm and dont show it. I really cant complain when I see what shes going through.

Morning all
7.1 this morning.
Oh for goodness sake!
@DJC3 It is just a blip especially considering the journey you have been on. @geefull I hope the blood draw is routine and everything turns out fine. @PenguinMum what you are doing for your friend is amazing and you are a better man than me Gunga Din - (but then most are)

It must be incredibly stressful nursing your friend through this horrible time. Evennif you don’t show it for her sake, it’s bound to have an effect. When are you there again?

Thanks @DJC3. I dont want any medals its what we all do for people we care about. I just want my bloods to behave! Next chemo is in 2 weeks so home till then.

I’m back onto my low carb, lose weight but not so high fat regime. I’m still adapting to life without a gall bladder. 5.1 this morning. I’m almost ( tongue in cheek ) looking forward to my hba1c and annual review in November. Yes you can quote me on that come mid October
