What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Good morning,
5.5 this morning. In the afternoon i see my DSN at the hospital, can't wait to show her my newest a1c. Still no chance to get the Libre sensors on prescription.

A real miss misty meadow start here - chilling out to Jackson Browne. 5.3 on meter apparently. In range bg wise but nothing special. The longer I follow LC/high veg the less it seems to give a feeling of wellness. More a case of living with tiredness/poor sleep/recurrent low level virus as a trade off for some form of bg control . Ongoing rock and hard place scenario personally but many would swap places so flame away.
Edit: Of course, I have never been this old and decrepit so I have no idea how I should feel and this WOE may be doing an amazing job

Good morning all. 5.8 today. Cloudy and mild here. Long walk for me today.
Good luck today @enzina . Slowly but surely the libre is been covered in more areas. Hopefully in time it will reach your area. If the other people on the forum are anything to go by, it should be a win win for the recipient and the nhs/taxpayer.
Hope everyone is well or improving. Hope you have a BG to be proud of. Have a great day.

Ow, yikes! I'm glad your mum was there!
yes me too they eventually got a diabetes specialist to come and see me I can’t remember much but she was very nice also the nurses who were taking care of me were definitely students they couldn’t have been older than 25

Good morning the sun is already peeping through it looks promising - I’ve unfortunately got some indoor stuff to do this morning but I’m determined to get out there as soon as possible!
4.9 this morning
Hope everyone enjoys the day ahead whatever your plans.

Great work Chronicle...well done.

Morning everyone still not feeling great today but my mum is trying to convince me to go to Harry Corries (a home shop) to buy myself a new bed cover I am quite tempted to go but my cough gets worse in the cold. Libre says I’m 3.5 and meter says I’m 4.9 I got a little scare from the libre last night saying I was LO but I was 4.5 have a good day everyone

Morning- I made the mistake of leaving the meter downstairs so by the time I was up, showered and lugged the washing basket downstairs my body thought I needed a sugar hit. 7.5
Thanks for that. Hopefully in the 5s by teatime.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and all who woke up this morning, bit of a result waking up, always a good start to the day.

Today a 10.1, which had been hiding in the meter came out saying " that will teach you to eat peanuts at 10:30 pm "

Well make the most of today, only another 1273 shopping day's left before I become interested in Christmas shopping, yep crossing them orf the calendar.
Have a good one.

Morning All. A much happier me with 6.2 at 0800. Yay!
@ianpspurs I too could never give up veg and am clinging on to the green ones come what may. If I end up on insulin because of veg rather than cake sobeit. I do find it hard that for some just stopping the starches is enough to maintain good BG. But this is living our own lives so lets march on (or hobble in my case!)
Have a good day everyone, stay well, stay safe
