What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Hi all. Posting very late today. Up at 4.10am but between preparing dinner, washing up and other chores ran out of time before I had to leave for work.

There is clearly something in the air. Joining @ianpspurs @OrsonKartt @Chronicle_Cat and others in the unexplainable BG readings camp. Depending on which of the meters I’m currently running in parallel (ref @Rachox s thread), I was either 4.4 or 5.6 this morning. Retested the 5.6 and got 5.1 - willing to accept that as had a restless night.

@Freema lowering the carbs seems to be working for you.

@shelley262 hope you got all your shopping done.
 

well yes combined with some unofficial metformin... sadly it seems the metformin is the main contributer to a lower blood glucose in my case
 
ooops, I forgot to post. Been a crazy couple of days here. Blood sugar this morning was 7.1, which is rather good for me. I hope everyone gets a restful night. Off to Bruges with Mr P next week, so I am chasing around a bit getting things done and dusted before we head off.
 
Morning all. Both meters in agreement this morning. 5.2. Tad on the high side for me, especially given what and when I ate yesterday alongside high activity levels. Sleep, hydration (woke up with a headache yesterday that vanished after 3 glasses of water, slight headache today too) and relaxation need equal attention, me thinks.

Not long to the weekend and have a good day all.
 
Properly cold start here today. Great start @trick60 and the hug was for headache and higher level @Goonergal. The ctrl, alt, delete reset yesterday produced 5.0 today (.6 higher on codefree) which would probably fit in with longer term trends but still not where working properly is at for me. Anyhow, I knew fasting would give an early start and felt sure it would stabilise bg so marginal gains/inch by inch. #showsomeloveforbrassmonkeyday

I am becoming more comfortable giving out hugs to men on this thread, should I be worried about this? Maybe im discovering things about myself more than Bg numbers hehe, or maybe the powers that be could add an appropriate emoji?

Surely a properly manly emoji would be a head with a speech bubble calling the hugee a **nker or similar - ? much more British, dontcha know

Sorry, couldn't resist - what a lovely way to wake. Perhaps slightly oversharing Hope the hypo is resolved asap
