So very sorry to hear about your son. You too have your hands full at the moment. You are the best person to help your friend. What a support system she has in you. I hope you get everything sorted.@Debandez you are very kind to help your brother-in-law and I'm glad he's doing better. I know what you mean about red tape - unless you've experienced it, most people don't know how bureaucracy unnecessarily complicates the lives of people with disabilities. (My late son was severely disabled and that made it so much harder than necessary). Tomorrow I have another meeting in a series about my best friend's son - she has 2 adult sons with autism, both also intellectually disabled. The son who is very severely disabled and nonverbal (like my late son) lives in a group home but her more moderately disabled son still lives at home and attends day programs (unable to work) . These meetings are planning with the government so he can get a good residential placement when they can no longer care for him (she has many health issues and is older).
Hilarious!!!Sure theres a support network out there somewhere for you all....?
yep found it..
Struggled to open eyes this morning had a wonderful glorious catch up sleep in my own bed! My body clearly thought it should keep me asleep for as long as possible as woke up to alarm - usually naturally wake up before - and got woken up to a fbg of 4.0
Happy Valentine’s Day all OH and I have some planning to do so we’ve decided - given forecast of sun later - to go on valentines hike later it’s a wonderful way to talk and think things through on a long hike together. Coffee and cream in a flask will be packed.
@DJC3 pleased your readings dropped a bit despite code free being higher.
Did I tell you about my collection of ties, I must get round to photographing them and posting the pictures, Mrs J approves of some and not others especially the sheep one.
It was wonderful just now walking to the grocery store and back. Out in the sunshine it was almost warm, and no wind blowing! I think it's about 13 degrees out there right now.
Talking of jumpers and sweaters, will someone please tell me what jerseys and guernseys are (the garments not the islands)? Here in the US "jersey" used to be used for what we now usually call sweatshirts so that is what I've pictured when reading English novels. But guernseys?
And what is a polo-neck, please? This is a polo shirt
And, we’re off!I’d like to see your sheep tie! I have a sheep scarf.
My big toe is nastier than your big toe so there. What on earth is going on in this thread, first pets now jumpers, I did warn you all I would post pictures of my big toe.
No please do any time you feel the urge.Did I tell you about my collection of ties
Did you all get your bins out for collection?
No bin collection here is on Friday.
loving the cold descriptionMy cold like symptoms continue with a general oogy feeling. My fbs continue to be high and I feel very meh. My lowest lottery score for a short while with 6.9
ouch ouch ouch, been to the doc to grumble about my back. Apparently I have trapped a nerve - bad. Doc has given me a couple of days worth of valium to unknot my muscles and hopefully release said nerve - good
Blood sugar 9.1 this morning. Bit odd but I suppose it is the pain doing that.
Off to take the pills and see what happens. Hopefully I won't be too zonked.
Hope everyone is having a good day.
