What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

@Chronicle_Cat I would be happy to swap with you weather-wise. I would prefer some snow to the rains and low teens we are getting here. Just please don't mention it to anyone else who lives here as they would probably run me out of town on a rail! Or a sled runner.

A well-rounded 6 for me this morning. I just learned that Lent starts next Wednesday, so for the first time in years I'm going to try to fast -- may have a blow-out with pancakes on Tuesday, though, or maybe a small pizza.

How did giving up meat for Lent become a feast of pancakes, of all things?

Morning all. Missed posting yesterday after a dramatic and sleepless night involving cramps and almost passing out. Much better today after a long sleep and awoke to a FBG of 4.2.

@AngiH glad you’re feeling better, @DJC3 hope the cold is better and @johnpol hope you can get on top of the hypos.

Have a good weekend all - restful one planned here.

I feel for you with the cramps. I have tried all sorts of things over the years to reduce mine but nothing really works apart from walking.
I have been known to be marching round the kitchen in the middle of the night with a magnesium spray in one hand and a bag of salty pork scratching in the other.

Morning...what a frustrating day with work yesterday...finally managed to get someone to answer my calls after a couple of hours...then had to dash out to work...got home around 7:40pm...tested at 4.8...ate late then nothing else...finally got the call with a decision on client around 2am ...after a couple of hours sleep woke to a 6.4...I will be resuming my before bedtime snack this evening...the long overnight fast doesn't seem to work that well for me...onwards.

Morning All. 6.7 this morning so not happy. Cooked Chinese last night but fell prey to the noodles which I should have known better, only cooked them for OH but made too many somwont do that again. Anyway my friend from Kent arriving today and we are both going to Bath for 3 days tomorrow. Shame storm Freya is coming in but at least will get to see youngest son who is at the Uni.
Have a great weekend everyone. Stay well or get better, stay safe.

In general supplementing with potassium and magnesium bisglycinate works for me. These sorts of persistent night cramps haven’t happened for a while.

I was emptying my glove compartment yesterday . Came upon a stash of sardines - emergency food supplies
