What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Welcome @Lbooker and @Leeg10 , I see things are new for you both. Hope you will stick around and share your insights. I do find it helps to share numbers here, as it keeps me focussed. Most have had high readings, but get control, so don’t be alarmed by double figures, early days for you. Also, some of us old hands do find we have periods of higher than we would like fasting levels. We support and help each other.

For me today, after some erratic readings, and much couch lounging, I have a 5.9. Which is ok, and brought about by drinking lots of water, and eating less. Though I confess to a late night, a large glass of Baileys , and not moving much this morning.

Must move more!

11.3. ‍

So high, but I did have a bottle of Prosecco and a big bag of crisps last night. I don’t really drink, so haven’t seen the effects it has on my bloods before.

Crisps have a lot of carbs

Interesting... 4.7 @7am and 6.7 @9am when I finally got up to have breakfast
My FBG usually rises until I have food ie I can start with 7 and it will go to 8 or more the longer I leave my breakfast ...as far as I know it is to do with the excess glucose that my liver has kindly stored for me

Very poor sleep last night coupled with lots of pasta in my evening meal gives me a nasty 9 this am .
