What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

5.5 today as my son spent the last week with us before travelling back to Ireland we tended to treat it as a little bit of a holiday so had meals that I would normally avoid so bg has been slightly raised.

baaad 6.6

yeaterday I did a lot of fitness and after af big meal it was 5.6 only raised from 5.3 before this meal... thereafter I had a minor party on too many carbs...so maybe therfore it is high today dont know... or mayby because I did too much excercise and were low on calories had 1300 kcals but burned 2000kcals

my blood glucose is much higher in the mornings somtimes than in between meals where it is usually under 5.5

Hi, @Freema - welcome to the forums!
Perhaps your liver is "dumping" glucose into your bloodstream as part of the normal waking process (normal, in that this happens to non-diabetics, too), which is raising your fasting BG levels. It's also known as the Dawn Phenomenon.
You seem to be doing very well, but I'm tagging @daisy1 so that she can send you the information pack that she offers to new members, which I'm sure you'll find useful.
In the meantime, keep posting and sharing!
