@L4ne.Willi4mson they say fasting levels should be under 100, 5.5 but as long as your numbers are creeping down I wouldnt be too worried. My HbA1c has been in the non diabetic range for over a year now but my FBG still isnt under 100. It is usualy the last number to come down.

5.9 mmol :):):):):):)

first time in many weeks under 6 while not training the day before....

now I am waiting to see what my tiny morning whisky does to my blood glucose... there is a lot of calories in ...for a 1000 calorie diet... so not sure I´ll do it many days ... but if it works very well... maybe when I´ve lost what I want to I can use it again...

Well it's now three weeks of exceptional readings on the whole. 4.3 today and suspect I will be decreasing the Lantus once again shortly!

Parsnips, turnips, swedes-the vegetable not the people.
@SWUSA Thank you so much. That makes better sense. I tested at 183 (10.1) this morning. And I'm kinda hazy as to where I need to be. My endo said she wants my fasting in the low 100 to high 90. But she was vague in explaining it.
Have you seen your diabetes educator or nutritionist yet? Are they sending you to diabetes education classes? Basically you need to decrease the amount of glucose, or blood sugar circulating in your blood. Medication helps to do this but diet and exercise also play a role. Stress and worry also contribute to increased blood sugar for some of us. Until you see your diabetes educator I would just try to eat healthy and notice how many carbohydrates you are eating. From food, carbohydrates have the highest impact on our blood sugar. Any packaged foods here in the USA are labeled with a calorie count and carbohydrate amount per serving. Alcohol has a lot of carbohydrates and does not come with nutrition information attached. Fresh vegetables, meats and grains carbohydrate amounts can be calculated by charts and measuring them and are actually usually the best choice. There are a lot of resources on this site to help you figure it out.

I have seen the educator on it. They gave me a bunch of papers to know how many carbs is in things like a pound of cheese. I try to stay away from processed foods and stick to the fresher things. However that's kind of hard to do when I need to eat on the run for work. But I have found it easier.

Lane also are you rotating your injection site? It is important to use the areas they told you to inject but move every day so you are not reusing the same injection site until two weeks have passed.
