What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Well there was a large jaffa orange sitting in the fruit bowl which after peoples' comments re oranges was too tempting. Needed to experiment so had my orange, I'd squeezed the juice out first, an hour after supper. My pre-prandial levels before supper were 4.5, an hour after supper bloods were 5.8. After eating the orange, my bloods rose from 5.8 to 7.8. Yes I know 7.8 is higher than I would like but that is still only 2 points from when I first ate the orange. In another 2 hours my bloods were around 5.4 so I think that was quite a good result. Better than some other (recommended) foods I consume. I have a problem with cauliflower for example. This morning my bloods were 5.2 much better than expected so pleased with that. :)

Morning all, we are under a severe weather warning here in Nova Scotia, so on that note my morning sugars are 6.8. I can definitely live with that, down from 9.4 last night. 90 sits ups and 10,000 steps.

4.6. I can say with confidence that this is around about where I sit at with basal insulin only because I've had no food or bolus for 36 hours... just water :(
Scratch that. I was probably in the 4s earlier today. Libre and contour both said so. I've had two hypos today and am now at 22 because I overcompentated with trying to bring it back up. lol (22 hospital reading). What can I do but accept that I stuffed up? Such is life
Edit: this disease sucks, but I'm going to beat it

You will get there. It’s hard but doable.

Not knowing what condition you have, plus your Type 3c, I do wish you better.
Thank you. I had necrotising pancreatitis but for the last 4 years have been fine. In October last year (2022) my blood sugars went crazy so I'm now on lantus and novorapid. They're concentrating on my lantus dose at the moment because my libre graphs are running too low (in the low 4s most of the time). I start my reduced lantus dose tonight

Morning All. 6.3 this morning which makes me happy the closer to 6 I get.
@Ryhia I bought oranges for Mr PM yesterday and Iam wondering if I’m brave enough for the orange test! Good result for you I’d say. @plantae sorry to hear you ended up in hospital again and I hope you can find a middle way.
Happy Thursday everyone.
