What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Thanks for replying;. It was very informative and helpful. You did well to stick to the 800 cals for the 5 weeks if you were having so much trouble. I might consider trying it but not sure I have the motivation anymore. I find I am struggling with life in general. Got a big decision to make a couple of weeks time MSK consultant wants to fuse my neck! Now what will that do to my bloods, I wonder? Really good you managed to see some 4s that's what I would be looking for, the best I see are low 5s now. Your lower numbers is bound to have had a beneficial affect overall: I am also impressed with the weight loss. I need to lose weight I have gone up a dress size in the last year. Where weight fell off me at the start of my D journey, now its just seems to be fixed in position and increasing - all around my middle unfortunately- not good I'm sure.

18 years with diabetes that's massive and you should be congratulating yourself on your good control over the years and what you have achieved. And how you encourage others. Hope it turns out you don't need further meds and that you have positive outcomes from your low cal initiative. Enjoy your holiday and thanks again.

So interestingly I have had a couple of low numbers (for me) over the past few days, each time I have woken up much earlier than usual before 6:00 am. Got up around 8:00 today which seems to be more the normal time for me now and bloods were 5.8. Wonder if I can achieve lower results if I adjust my rising time and maybe go to bed earlier? I usually go to bed around 12:00 midnight Does it actually matter? - Will my body and DP adapt to the different times? Who can say? Just musing.

14.3 today, that’s quite good for me. I took the correct amount of rapid insulin with tea, but as I have gastro paresis it’s hard to manage. I need to switch my insulatard to an intermediate I think. I’ll try and make an appointment with the DN, but that’s usually a wait of anywhere between 4 and 12 weeks
.

Better late than never. Been having fun with bad sensor readings up and down like a yo-yo. One minute 13
the next 3. Finger prick last night at 5.4 this morning 5.1. Dexcom readings all over the shot. Time to change it out

Late to post but fbg was 7.1 and bed was 6.
After late wait diabetic review was this am and all is good. HBA1C 43 . Total cholesterol 5.0. triglyc .5 and all other markers normal . Everything down since last test . Sorry for going off topic
Enjoy your day folks

Congratulations on such a wonderful review.

8.7 - and yes, the reason for that is the same as why I'm posting this at the crack of dawn on a Saturday. My neighbors decided to throw a party, and I kept being woken up by the noise. At 5, I threw in the towel, and started tidying up. Took me an hour to remember to get fbg. They've stopped partying, so now I'm debating waiting until 8a.m. to go up there to ask them to stop being so noisy.
