What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Late post . Fbg 6.6 today and bed was the same . With regards to exercise and bg levels for me any running or weights training my numbers will have risen if I test immediately after but fall to good numbers within the hr and If I just go for say a 5km walk they always lower straight afterwards again that just me .

10.5! Could it be the sausages? At 6pm yesterday I had 3 sausages (bought from the butcher) and a cup of green beans with butter on them. This morning my BG is way too high  Although you could argue the butcher probably puts some kind of rusk in the sausage mixture, surely by this morning my BG wouldn’t still be affected?

Morning
5.3 last night 4.9 this morning. Have been working away so hotel stays and eating out. I used to enjoy this, now just find it stressful with the unknown carbs in restaurants. All that said still managed to stay on target for my 90 days in range 95% of the day

I’m afraid sausages do that to me as well, even butchers high meat content ones. I only realised when I did the Libre for a couple of weeks, and there was a massive spike at breakfast, on top of an already rising dawn thing going on.

Love ‘em, but need to have them infrequently or risk higher numbers. Haven’t tried them for lunch or dinner though.

A good FBG despite all that, you must have made good menu choices! I know what you mean about eating out, though, sometimes it’s difficult to tell whether something is going to be ok from the description until it arrives and there’s always too much carbs going on. Most restaurants are better now at catering for allergies than for diabetics, so I now say I’ve got a sugar allergy and see what they suggest!
