Thank you soo much for the advice. I'll give this ago.Morning all. Try taking Magnesium for the cramps @callyandy, I take it plus tonic waterin my sugar free squash and it helps. This morning my fbs was 7.8 and I can only put it down to the bad back. I'm sick of being diabetic!! Have a good day folks. I'm off to Art class to cheer myself up.
A veritable voyage of discovery! I always get side-tracked when I try to do that. As a consequence, I still have stuff in boxes awaiting my attention.Morning!
5.6 today. All ready to sort a large load of 'stuff' which is sitting in boxes in our bedroom. M idea what I might find! Wish me luck...
Have a nice day
Magnesium works for me too. Daily supplement from Boots, keeps the leg & toe cramps at bay.Thank you soo much for the advice. I'll give this ago.x

I do mine which is always ok.However, despite careful eating (I have just lost 2 stone) my pre lunch level is always 7.5.I eat half a cup of rolled oats for breakfast so can not understand why it's so high.Hello mates,
At a couple of the other forums I've frequented there was a thread like this one where we all sorta checked in each day, with our first cup of coffee or tea, and reported our fasting or waking blood glucose level and some short comment about whether we're ok with it or if not - why not?...
It worked well as a sort of 'first thread to check' each morning and post to.
I'll start.
This morning was a 5.6mmol for me. That's about normal for me
What about you?
I know porridge is recommended as being very good for your heart but many people on this forum find their blood sugars react to porridge. Mine goes up to around 9mmol which is too high for me, its actually the highest measured blood results I have ever recorded. Maybe your reaction to porridge is the reason why you are seeing the 7.5. Have you tried a different breakfast? Something like eggs and bacon or full fat Greek yoghurt or there are even no oat porridges as an alternative. Just a thought.I do mine which is always ok.However, despite careful eating (I have just lost 2 stone) my pre lunch level is always 7.5.I eat half a cup of rolled oats for breakfast so can not understand why it's so high.
Yes, it makes sense to proceed with caution.6.4….darn it. I’m not reacting well to my Berberine experiment, my intestines are in knots. Had to stop for a bit today (may try a lower dose once I feel better) as the discomfort kept me awake all night.
