What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Hello mates,
At a couple of the other forums I've frequented there was a thread like this one where we all sorta checked in each day, with our first cup of coffee or tea, and reported our fasting or waking blood glucose level and some short comment about whether we're ok with it or if not - why not?...

It worked well as a sort of 'first thread to check' each morning and post to.

I'll start.

This morning was a 5.6mmol for me. That's about normal for me

What about you?
Well mine was 6.7 this morning which I'm fine with as I more concerned how I feel not what my blood says I should feel.
I think far to many people diabetic 2 worry over their morning readings.

If I get up at 5.30am, take my bg and its in the 5s, have a few walnuts and snooze for an hour does that still count as my fbg as that's what I have been doing :angelic:

Just took it now and its 5.3 :)

waking bs around 15.5 at the minute
Ouch! Not good. But if you read my signature four years ago this was me “11/09/2019 87.00 - After nurse registered an 18 on my non fasting A1c.” I also had a BG fasting of 15 too. So, @Adzz90, keep the faith and welcome to our Band of Diabs.

Oh yeah, my morning BS was 5.9. Not too shabby ;) .

6.5 going to bed at 10.4... Headache and leg cramps all night so dreadful sleep. 7.1 at 6.45. Fiddler appealing dismissal... Happy Tuesday folks x

Edited... Got sidetracked and forgot to press send...:banghead: I should be better at this:hilarious:

I would say it counts. I’m usually up at that time, unfortunately I don’t go back to bed for a snooze
