What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Another vote for magnesium.

Diabetics are known to be more susceptible to cramps than the general population. It can occur with type 1 and type 2 diabetes, but appears to be more prevalent with type 2, possibly because patients with insulin resistance tend to lose magnesium in their urine, contributing to lower levels.

Should you be unfortunate enough to experience another bout of cramps in your legs, whatever you do, don't point your feet! It's a natural reaction, but prolongs the agony. Instead grab your toes and pull upwards towards your knees.

You may want to support your feet in bed with a pillow. I find that simple precaution prevents me from flexing my feet in my sleep.
Thank you for the information. The cramps are all over my legs, I'm finding all sorts of ways to stretch out, and muscles I didn't even know I had!!

Morning All so 7.1 again. @Estragon hero of the Hive after the challenges of the last year just saying! @callyandy when in a leg cramp the best way out I have found is to flex toes and breathe deeply right down to your toes and exhale slowly several times works a treat. Used to use this technique with our boys after sport a million years ago. And there’s always gin & LC tonic! Stay safe in Storm Babet if you are in the eye of it.

Ouchie! I’ve been a Trammer Drammer before now. Please be aware, you probably are, it is addictive and made me constipated. So, not for the long term, speak with your GP.
I’ve been taking it (prescribed obv) for 2 years now, nothing else dulls the pain. I have spinal stenosis and 3 prolapsed disk and waiting for an operation. Now I have my hba1c under 69 I’m back on the waiting list. I’m down to 2 tabs twice a day mostly but if I mow the lawn (nearly quarter of an acre) or have to lift stuff, I suffer for a couple of days. All under control thank you, I appreciate your comment :)

Morning all. Amongst the monthly bloods yesterday random BG was 5.1. Technically fasted @10.40 ish as I had only consumed tea with almond milk. @MissMuffett hug for spinal stenosis - I sympathise. I hope the op comes soon and is a resounding success. Y'all have a good day now but some days are diamonds (some days are stone) - being honest isn't weakness or failure.

Thank you for your kind advice. As an alcoholic I'll have to skip the gin, but the tonic sounds good. xx
