What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

I decided to do a Libre freestyle experience, just to see what’s going on with the BG 24/7. It’s a while since I’ve done this and the info will come in handy when I go on my Xmas expedition to the Antipodes.

So this morning fingerprick was a demure 5.9, when Mr Libre said 7.3 & rising. But even as I’m writing this, sipping my tea but before breakfast, Libre has dropped to 5.7.
The tracking line shows it took a couple of dives overnight, and then Dawn kicked in around 6.30am. All quite useful data. I’ll see how it pans out over the next couple of weeks.

Morning!
5.1 today!
I was expecting much higher as I had sweetcorn & cheese fitters for tea last night which had semolina and flour in. also had a glass of wine, followed by a negroni. So... maybe my body is still metabolising the alcohol or it was the 20 min walk I did afterwards? (2 1/2 hours post meal it was 7.7 (pre 4.3) so meal was not a good choice / definite spike but I knew that!).

Anyway have a great Saturday!

I found it really useful to see what was happening especially overnight. Can't afford to do it consistantly, but I will do it occasionally and when on holiday when routine (and diet) goes out of the window!

4.7 - Post brekkie! Stoopid condition. I have picked up a throat infection, no idea where that’s come from. All neg on the COVID front. The throat has gotta calm down so I can shout at the TV later tonight.
4.8 here.. Hug for the throat infection. Excellent post prandial bg sir. England look likely to be torn a new one in both games. Mumbai police are currently searching everywhere for missing English (cricket) bowlers*. Have a good Saturday everyone even with any disappointments.
* plus fielders and batters
