What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

FBG of (wait for it, cue drum roll )…..4.7 this morning!

Well knock me down with a cockle shell, that is the lowest ever! At least one that I have recorded. I didn’t believe it so did it again, which was 4.8, so I guess that is right.

I was trying to figure out what was different about yesterday, apart from the early start, chucked off the night ferry at 7am. Not much different in terms of food, i had a mixed grain thing with salmon at lunchtime in preference to fish n chips, and I have discovered a greater personal tolerance for carbs at lunchtime, if I’m going to have them. Dinner was steak with an assortment of veg. But dinner was early, all finished by about 6.30pm and I had an early night. So eating early is clearly a better idea for me, although I can’t do that when I’m working, I don’t actually finish work until 6.30pm some days. Something to figure out.

Only one day spent in the five hive this week.
Kicked out again with disappointing
BG 11.6 mmol.
I am using steroid cream again which could be having a negative effect.
Big hug and special thoughts of best wishes for rhe strugglers amongst us and big hug with heartfelt well done to the achievers, whose dedication at keeping the numbers down is brilliant to behold.
Have a lovely relaxing Sunday

3 hours sleep from 6am when the violent wind finally died down a little. At one point around 2:30 my anemometer wouldn’t register at all and its scale goes up to 130 mph. Roof slates were clattering and banging and my azalea in a heavy earthenware pot blew over and shattered on the steps. Still blowing a hoolie but only 3 sets of storm pegs will be required to keep washing from blowing off the line and into the next county.

So, all that said, my readings at 9:00 were
Libre 6.1
Puncture kit 6.0

I hope you are all safe wherever in the world you are. Hugs all round.
