What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Morning all, just hanging in the hives with a 5.9. Have been woken up at 3.00am for the last 4 mornings with low glucose alarms so decided to adjust my pump to correct above 6.7 till 6.00am every morning. So the it worked and a good nights . Result is slightly higher at waking. It’s fine always drops 1 mmol once I start moving about.

BG 10.9 mmol. After very poor sleep.
See how this week goes.......
Not feeling very well but can't put my finger on what's affecting me most.
Is causing low mood which I struggle with at times.
Hope I pick up as the day progresses......
Sending out best thoughts to all & hoping some healing comes to those who need it.

Morning @Welshman1952. A darn good FBG reading all things considered.

The timing of that infection isn't great. It's likely this week's planned surgery will be postponed until it clears.

Once recovered, I'd discuss with your urology team the possibility of a low-dose, prophylacitic antibiotic until the underlying cause of your recurrent UTIs is treated.
Fortunately my consultant prescribed me an antibiotic in readiness for when I had a UTI. He makes sure that at any time I can begin a course of treatment I can begin an immediate course of treatment as I always have a pack St home. It has only happened twice historically but on those occasions I stopped urinating and had to d rushed to A&E to be catheterised and then admitted to check for damage to my kidneys. Nowadays I have self-catheterising kit (if needed) as well as antibiotics on hand.

That's reassuring @Welshman1952, especially the kit and antibiotics.
Hope you're on the mend and feeling a little better.

Morning All 7.7 today so I think one thing I need to be aware of is carb creep. Hope those of you unwell get better soon. Have the best Tuesday you can.
I'm with you @PenguinMum. Going to check on my carb creep as well. Haven't posted for a few days and I cant understand what is going on. Bloods have been higher than I can understand,. FBG was 7.2 this morning so now I can associate with your frustrations, my issue is at the moment they are not really going down sufficiently during the day. Carb creep is definitely something to consider but I am also really stressed at present so that may be another reasons for the high bloods but also wondering if seasonal changes might also be a play. If I remember rightly a similar thing happened last year around now but general levels were much lower. It might be a question to post to the wider audiences. Anyway like you are always encouraging us, I'm just going to "keep on keeping on".

Keep well folks.

Stress can definitely add a couple, or even a few, points.
This is my libre graph from a day where I had a low carb egg breakfast then nothing else until the evening. All I had was a stressful situation, that eased a little, then got even nore stressful, even scary. Guess when?
No food involved at all

Thank you for your informative graph. Bloods had come down to 5.3 before supper but they're still a little higher than normal for this time of day, however, they're a lot better than what I have been seeing . I'm just going to monitor what I am eating and hope for the best over time. :)
