Welcome to this thread for diabetes of all types. Here you can post your blood glucose reading on waking first thing in the morning.
Testing as we wake makes the conditions pre check as close to identical as possible and the result provides a useful benchmark for day to day comparison.
In other words, this thread is not about fasting per se, although some here practice time-restricted eating and intermittent fasting.
when the medical profession asks for a ‘fasting’ blood test they mean no food for 8-10 hours before the test so going on this summation when we test our BG first thing in the morning it’s classed as a fasting BG.
