So you've had very little smoke so far this year. Long may that continue @Bcgirl. It doesn't do anyone's health any favours and must be particularly arduous for sufferers of bronchial asthma and chronic obstructive airways disease.6.2, this stubborn body! Dang, living through another heat warning…honestly it’s ugly. Luckily we have very little smoke this year….so far. A few more days of super heat before it gets only hot. Sadly the heat is drying up the water holes in the mountains…my very bad dog just chased a bear right outside our gate…it’s two in the afternoon, highly unusual bear behaviour. We have ponds out back and I think he just wanted some berries and a good swim. Since the dog didn’t return when hubby called her she is now in time out and very sad indeed.
The weather conditions you describe must be so hard for wildlife to cope with too. Bears must have to cool off somehow. Their made to measure fur coats look more suited to Winter.
