I suspect most of us have been on the receiving end @ChrisT2. Once diagnosed in 2003, a close relative (no longer with us) was forever plying me with cakes and jam tarts. What prompts this behaviour I wonder? I can't relate to it myself. If we knew a family member was trying to give up certain foods for health reasons, it's the very last thing we'd do. It's tantamount to buying a woolly jumper for somebody who's allergic to wool!Typical comments such as "a little bit of rice won't do you any harm" or " nobody died from a slice of toast or a cake" and "just have the one more pint or another glass of Baileys" have crept into my daily life both at home and work.
Me too lolI'd rather have bad food!
A reasonable 6.2 for me this morning. Hopefully over the bad day off but already work plans for Xmas parties and section drinks well underway. Can you believe someone even bought in a ton of mince pies and although I never succumbed but was salivating like Pavlov's dogs. Managed to politely avoid the " just one pie won't do you any harm" comments as I slurped my revolting cup of green tea and tried to laugh things off. I always looked forward to Xmas but this diet has dampened the excitement a little bit, shame my BS doesn't believe in Father Christmas.
We will have a hug together .Morning all. 8.8 for me and I too know why
I am the opposite they always taste soooo good its really hard to stop at oneLibre 5.4
Early to work again, going on the peloton bike after
I always find if I have a little treat it never tastes as good as I remember so I don’t often bother (ready salted Pringles aside)
Take care everyone
7.2 mmol when I woke up.
I noticed my glucose kicked up on Dexcom G6 at 1:30am from 6.3 mmol to 11.2 mmol at 2am while I was asleep - 3:05am back to 6.4 mmol.
