What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

5.9 new CGM replacing the faulty one: 6.4 finger prick test :) after breakfast same as usual spiked 14.1 which is strange as same breakfast have eaten for several weeks. only difference taken some antibiotics yesterday and today (metronidazole)
Presumably the antibiotics are because of an infection... which could well be causing all sorts of disruption

5.2 this morning gonna wait a wee while before nip down for breakfast 5am can't get back to sleep. Ye antibiotics for ulcer dentist later this afternoon

5.8 for me at 4am this morning before heading out to deal with our ponies!
what type of ponies do you have? :) teenage daughter loves horseriding she recently did some western riding on an applelusa for a wee change in stables/scenery. usual stable has a couple of fell ponies. When she rode a clydesdale horse at she thought it was scary as so high up. used to help out weekly for umpteen years at the local small stables part of RDA (riding for disabled) wish she would get back into helping out there, appeared to lose interest in the helping out part after her last boyfriend, still loves to ride though :)

Morning All 7.0 this morning which is best in a long while. Trying to eat well and balance meals. There are so many things I no longer tolerate due to other health issues makes it tricky. If I can get into FBG 6s regularly I will be happy. Staying consistently high from midnight as per Libre. Happy Thursday everyone.

Mine tends to be around 7.5 - 8.0 each morning, do I need to be concerned?? My recent HBA1C is 45 though which is consistent over the last 12 months. Diagnosed a couple of years ago, but have had to research and learn all this stuff by myself, and the internet is just full of conflicting stories and reviews!

You are concerned but should you worry?

I can only tell you that the lower I get my morning readings,, which isn’t easy, the less the creeping side effects of inflammation affect me. That’s why I pay attention and try to keep a lid on it

In the end though it’s up to you
