What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Blue sky. Hurrah . Definite nip in the air though

Six point one on the contour next meter

I’ve just signed up for a “ free” libre maybe there will be something in the post soon? It will be a nice break from all this finger stabbing.

Good morning. Back here and on the Libre with sticky 6.6 which I am quite pleased with. Holiday had very intermittent finger testing with scarily high double figure readings due to lack of low carb choices for meals. It took several days on return to get things back on track so wonder how that will affect my imminent Hba1c at the end of the month. Hopefully back in control to a greater degree, fingers crossed.

missing raspberry creamed rice pudding here. used to eat them several times a week.

5.6 this morning made a tattie scone sandwhich with 50% less fat/salt (2 potato scones slice of leerdammer light no bread) fancied a change from usual couple of wheatabix, learned my lesson not to eat crunchy nut cornflakes several weeks ago OOPS. Had intro on carb counting yesterday with dietician told to just to keep doing same novarapid at present next week apparently they'll get into ICR (starting point Insulin per Carb Ratio). Brightside down 1unit long acting for couple of days to see if helps with drops.

Just managing to stay in the sixes at 6.9 first thing. Still suffering after effects of bad holiday diet seeing it reflected in abnormal BS readings. Slept well last night but noted BS went up to 9.5 at 3am. This is not normal for me as usually get decent lows overnight, something odd going on and hope things stabilise soon.

Morning All 7.7 on meter though am wearing a Libre to find out what happens overnight. Its a constant 5 or 6 until about 5 when it shoots up whether out of bed or not but I am retired and one of the joys is not getting up early. A lot depends on the quality of my sleep also, whether it is gentle or fitfull.
E ough a out me and my Libre. @RosemaryJackson sorry about the horrid chest infection, sending lots of hugs, stay comfy with lots of tea.
