What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Going from 6.4 before bed to 6.6 in the morning isn't much of an overnight rise.

Having higher blood sugar levels in the morning isn't unusual due to the dawn phenomenon. This is, in order to give us energy to get out of bed and going, our bodies produce hormones such as cortisol, growth hormone, glucagon and epinephrine to provide us with the necessary energy. The release of hormones also causes a rise in blood sugars.

Thank you.

Yes, I try to minimize carbs. My guess is that I'm around 25 grams per day, sometimes less. I also try to use an elliptical trainer for at least half an hour a day -- though this is not always possible due to long working hours and an extended commute.

How about you? Have you embarked on the lchf journey?
