What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

good morning all :)

4.2 today

a tiny bit warmer this morning thankfully, I find cold conditions much more of a trial now I've lost most of my internal fat jacket :( lots of clothing layers required shortly I think ;). Still I'm definitely much healthier bg and lipid profile wise than I was :)

Mum is doing Sunday mid afternoon dinner today because she has visitors. Roast beef I believe, so she's doing me lots of cauli and broccoli to go with it :) I'm providing an apfelstrudel for everyone else to have with ice cream as pudding.
My pudding will be LC vanilla cake with a bit of Erythritol sweetened apple and the last little bit of my own homemade ice cream :angelic: followed by a walk with the little dog.

Hope your weekend is being kind to you :)
You see, the rest of us find it horses work to keep bg low and eat like a human and you have divine menus like that - (well absent the eryth ri yukiness) Absolute star you are enjoy it all but remember us poor saps.

5.3 this morning.

It started raining last night which turned into a bit of snow when I came home from seeing my mom. (She is doing a bit better and getting more pain relief although she does have a new break in her back. ) She is less confused than she has been.

We still have a bit of snow today on the lawns. Surprisingly no major traffic accidents - a daily occurance here and with the change in weather, highly likely. (The rest of Canada laughs at Toronto's inability to cope with snow. We still get teased about years ago when our then mayor called in the army for a heavy snowfall). Anyway, it's very early for snow here, we don't usually get any before Hallowe'en. I don't know if our neighbours on the other side of the lake got more (with the prevailing winds across Lake Ontario, most of the snow usually goes to upstate New York USA instead of us.) Our clocks don't go back yet, Sun Nov 4th is our day.

Glad your mom is doing a bit better and your fbg is looking fine and dandy.

@Chronicle_Cat I'm glad for you and your mom too.

Our clocks down here go back next weekend too. I've been surprised reading posts here about snow in October, not so much in Canada as in the UK -- I didn't realize places like Birmingham got snow so early! I'm in the SE US, we've only ever had snow before Christmas 3 times in my life so far, and that was right before Christmas.
The first time that happened I got a sled for Christmas. :)

We have the stereotype of being the "great white north". People don't realize that the climate varies considerably across Canada, depending on where you live (on the southwest coast of British Columbia, it doesn't snow most winters although it rains all winter whereas Winnipeg aka "Winterpeg" is colder than Moscow or any other large city in the country.) My mom's American relatives (Iowa in the midwest) didn't believe her that the winters here in southern Ontario are less cold and milder than theirs until she explained that the Great Lakes moderate our temperatures.

15!!!!
Never seen a figure like that, even on a carb binge.
This was after a day with under 5g of carbs all day.
Blood tests tomorrow... oh the joys.

I've spent a large part of my life in 'foreign climes' but in my early to teen years it was common to have snow Oct-Nov and then again Jan-Mar. The region is higher than people think (see map) with some areas exceeding the 1000ft mark.

Hi guys just wondering if I should have a drink or something my sugar is at 7.0 right now and I haven’t eaten in the last two hours as my tummy has been a bit funny most I will drop a good bit and I’m going to bed in around 40 minutes the last thing I ate was a small bowl of rice crispies with a teaspoon of sugar

Wow, I had no idea of the elevation. Thanks for explaining, @HarrisonK . I had a chance years ago to spend a summer working in Birmingham but it didn't pan out ...

Did you repeat it? Sounds like it might have been a rogue reading.
Good luck with the blood tests

Morning all. Restless night - woke around 1.30am and while I know I drifted back off (vivid dream), it sure doesn’t feel like it. Got me musing can a dream involving a stand up row raise BG? :D

FBG 5.0 today. And hoping for a calmer working week than last week.

Good morning guys :)

7.1 today, sleeping so so well, my lower bg seems to be curing or massively improving my insomnia, plus two nights without having to visit the little boys room.

Its Monday morning, its dark and cold, I have to go to work for 12 hours in a minute and I feel great!

Have a lovely day :)
