What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Enough with the ersatz baby food. Today I had a delicious breakfast of little pieces of tropical fruit fresh - no juice, in a 2% greek joghurt.
Fasting 6.3
2 hours after breakfast 5.2. A breakfast to repeat :)

7.2 yesterday, 7.5 today.
Januvia is doing its job. Also lowering the spikes considerably

Still feel weak and lifeless tho!

Well, I did repeat that exact breakfast (the delicious one of course) this morning but don't understand the difference between yesterday's after 2 hours and today's after 2 hours. It makes it difficult to work out what you should or should not eat:

Fasting 5.7
@ 2 hours 6.7

Morning all,

6.6 this morning and 6.6 yesterday morning, having reduced my levemir by 4u for Sat and Sun. That run on Satuday teatime has clearly helped.

I did my first test this morning and it was 7.2.

@2 hours it was 12.9.

4.6 at 08:00.

I'm visiting my cousin at the end of this week and shall be testing to see what lasagne one day and maybe a Chinese the next, do to me!

Hi, slept well then woke tooo early! 5.45am [ugh] tested 10.9 high as per usual...
Need another coffee now, keep me going ! Anna.

Passes Anna a coffee, can't drink it anymore, found it's a migraine trigger for me. Good job i prefer tea!
My fasting level was 10.2, not great for me but i have a lot going on at home at the moment as well as with my health.

4.8 mmol/l for me this morning although I had a hypo at around 3am for the first time in months... probably all the walking I done yesterday afternoon but a little odd it took so long for my body to replenish.

Hi all,

posting 12 hours late again!!

was 6.0 this morning, also 6.0 two hours after breakfast!

Viv,
When I have a Chinese I usually have...
Chicken & Mushroom Soup or Vegetable Soup for starters.
Then a portion of Chicken & Mushroom and a big chunk of Egg Foo Yung.
This doesn't affect me much and you can have a big plate full too....yummy!! :D
Can't say the same for the lasagne I should imagine!!
Hope you have a good time.
Regards
Angie
ps. we are no longer twins....I've gone off on a different tangent now! When you are up a bit I am down and vice cersa!!

sounds yummy Angie.. *drools*

When making lasagne i tend to reduce the layers and fill it out with peppers. i LOVE peppers.

I make a portion that feeds about 4-6 people and put 3-4 whole peppers in there.

I carb count to match my insulin so makes it easier if i only use a few sheets :)

4.8 at 07:30.

Thanks angieG for the Chinese suggestions.

In a bit of a rush today 'cos the power's going to be off from 09:00 to 17:00. More this evening!
