What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Heavens to Murgatroyd! @Ashybang. What did you have to eat in the early hours, if you don't mind me asking?
Was a ham Sandwich done all the damage.
2 rounds of bread ........
I know I'm an idiot .... bad bad bad.....
No food tonight's early hours.
@ravensmitten Thanks for the comment and kind thoughts.

It's clear I've taken a huge step backwards since being ill over Christmas.
I'll come back to decent levels .......
I've done it before and will do so again.
It's a mental thing I must overcome and the rest will hopefully fall into place......

I have had far worse readings than 16.5 mmol in the past, when literally Blood Sugar was out of control.

A better reading this morning , taken quite early as struggling to sleep. Still high, but making its way down again. Below double figures is a good re- starting point

BG 8.9 mmol this morning.

Indeed. Please don’t forget that.

No! You have a condition called T2. You are now taking control with measuring, adjusting and changing diets AND you’re here. So, in my money that doesn’t make you an “idiot”, far from it. I'm noting your experiences and, for what it’s worth, they are very similar to mine.

Plateaus and then back up, then down again, and so on and so on. @Ashybang you're doing what you can.

@Ashybang wow, who (other than a Type 2 diabetic) would have thought a simple ham sarnie could have such a dramatic effect on one’s body! ;) However the good thing to take away from that is that you now know what causes such results, unlike a few months ago when you were in despair as to why.

Ok, my readings this frosty, nay, freezing, pavement-look-alike ice rink morning *drumroll, please*

Libre 5.3
Finger 4.6

Just have to add the support here is amazing and so very helpful to keeping on track. I'd be up the creek without a paddle and capsizing the boat for sure without the help I receive. Anyone who's commented, shared experiences, given advice, chatted and made me smile has helped out.
I'm not going to individualise the post, but you all know who you are. Thanks.....
Very grateful and humbled......

You're certainly not an idiot, but it does seem as though bread is your Waterloo. Ham (with the butter you would have spread on the bread, if you like butter) would have done less damage. We're all different, but I've taken the easy route and avoid bread altogether.

A better FBG reading this morning. Thankfully, heading in the right direction again. Thanks for sharing.

Smashed it!!! Love seeing readings such as this. Brilliant
Actually you were my inspiration: I thought if you could do it (and you did), so can I. I just need to stay here or hereabouts.

6.4 this morning.
I now have a kitchen in the garage, spare room, loft and dining room.. the cat is Very confused. Goodness knows where I'm going to put her when the work starts, she'll get trodden on for sure if left loose around the house when work starts. She's not the smartest, suits me well ;) .

Stay safe lovely peeps.

Yeah cats don’t like workmen tramping around making very loud noises with equipment. I had to shut mine in my bedroom with her food, water and a litter box while my bathroom was being done.
