Totally agree re the short walk although its a puzzle why a long walk will put sugars up but a short walk will bring them down. I suspect its the same for me re activity. I know my bloods go up when I first walk downstairs on a morning, but only for a couple of minutes or so, before dropping down again.

I’ve found it’s all a big personal learning experience. I’ve also sadly found that almost everything my GP and diabetic nurse has told me is very very sketchy at best and downright incorrect at worst .

So despite the rather barbaric finger jabbing thing I’m happy to report a six point one on my contour next meter after showering

Was finding carb creep an issue….it’s wasn't a lot but it was getting very easy to have a bite of apple, a small cracker….just little things that were not working for me. Because of that I decided to get some more CGM’s and just watch the numbers. My Dexcom is now attached and working like a charm! This one is very accurate.
this morning was 5.8. I haven’t gone any lower than that. I am straight lining at around 6.3. I don’t know why the numbers are not going lower. Even at zero carbs. I’ll keep plugging along. I do believe my infection is now cleared, but maybe some residual effects?

was 30 degrees yesterday…today it’s 19. I don’t know what to wear when I get up in the morning….

5.1 this morning looks like the weather is to be nice. Some more weeding the garden and maybe a trip to the pool.

Really wish neighbours would sort out their jungles so many let their gardens get out of control.

A 5.7 for me this morning. I've been having trouble getting that first out of bed reading. Something always happens so by the time I want to take it I've been moving about too much.
I can't do a reading until I've been to the loo and then sat in a chair for at least 10 mins (my fingers do not like giving up blood so I need to persuade them using gravity). I am resigned to never getting a true "first thing" reading.

11.0 for me after two loo trips and a mug of (unsweetened) tea, it's been between 10.5 and 11.0 for 5 of the last 6 days.

have you tried holding the hot mug for a couple of minutes? that should help blood get flowing :)

Unfortunately I appear to be a very difficult bleeder. The only things that have worked for me so far are keeping super hydrated and keeping my hand below my knees, and even then it only works 2/3 of the time. The need for hydration is another reason I can't test until I've drunk my tea ;)

6.0 today, Dexcom g7
blusteryand cool today. Did plant a few bulbs…they didn’t look great but you never know.
walked the dog around the ponds out back….so lovely. Watched the muskrat swimming, the goose on her nest, a huge pile of various ducks but couldn’t find a turtle today.
went to the gym this morning for abs and a yoga class….since our classes are currently not available I just do my own class…..it worked very well today.
the infection has cleared up nicely….no more intestinal pain.

Imho it's better to be consistent with measuring and relaxed, so if that what works for you, carry on. At least you'll know you will be comparing like with like.
I'm one who has to pee first...(blush)

Totally agree about a keeping it going thing… it’s pretty much an n = survey

For me this morning my contour next says six point one

Today I have twenty six hours of flying before I’m back in the uk . Would someone mind turning the heating up a bit please ?
