What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Morning all . Blood glucose this morning six point three

I’ve just had my c-peptide results back. Below normal level according to lab.

Time to see an endocrinologist methinks

It’s not the numbers that worry me it’s the symptoms that got me to take the test which seem to be ignored by the nhs provider of “ health care”

Interesting putting my results into chat gbt - reckons a low dosage of insulin is appropriate.

Now how to get to see an endocrinologist methinks- long letter to my GP .. unless there’s a private one I can see without the nhs hurdles ?

5.5 at 0700 this morning. This after 5.0 last night before bedtime. My lowest readings for years.
Well done
You're obviously doing things right.
They're the readings I was getting back in 2018 /2019 and why I'm disappointed with my fbs average 7.5 s .
I've put weight on since then, which I'm struggling to lose still mainly low carb but doing less exercise and working less I guess ..
I dont test before bed but I'll give it a couple but my pre evening meals are round about 5.5 average.

7.4 today, better than expected considering post beer, noodles and sweet'n'sour at 2300. Basically breaking all the low carb and meal time eating rules but great night out with friends and work colleagues. Just once in a while have to leap off the wagon and live life. The only problem is I feel a bit sad knowing what I am missing.

Well, I can't take all the credit. I've been on Mounjaro for the last month. My sugar readings have halved since I started. And best of all, the cravings I used to have for junk food have completely gone.
