What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Morning everyone blue skies and nippy here in Lowestoft

Another night with libre showing a just under six straight line and currently six point nine when out of bed and active

After two months I’ve just had a letter back from the hospital saying my antibody tests are negative.

I will write and ask for the actual report which may help me understand my situation better. I understand that it’s my legal right to have this detail and am somewhat annoyed that the NHS doesn’t simply give me this information

As I’d been waiting so long for the test results yesterday I had blood drawn and testing done privately.

Take care all

Libre 4.2 had breakfast already. Was up several times last night needing to pee a lot. Guessing to get rid of ketones was reason. Fingerprick 4.3 ketones 1.9. most accurate reading from the libre2plus so far. Off swimming shortly and appt this morning with physiatrist took over 8 months for this appt to try assist with blood draws issue have. Majority yesterday in the red after pool so not going to do as much today went down to 2.4 during swim

best wishes.

edit: added below quote
from the above url said:
Autoantibody testing alone isn’t a magic bullet, as it’s possible for people to test negative and still have type 1 diabetes. But these diabetes type research findings suggest that autoantibody testing can be a useful tool in the toolbox to help confirm if someone does have type 1 diabetes, and to point out cases where a diagnosis is less certain and follow-up monitoring and additional tests are needed.

5.4 today. The weather is turning…feels cold outside! Just a sweet reminder of what is to come!
Walking and upper body weights today. Off to walk the dog now then I NEED to do some more Japan planning and practice the few words I am learning…this is tough!

Last few days fasting readings:-
7.7
7.1
6.5
6.7
6.9
7.6
6.7 today..
Don't seem to get any lower than this
Readings if I eat low carb hover around 6.
And 5 ish before evening meal so I'm reasonably happy with that.
Dull and overcast skies in mid Suffolk today

4.1 libre that felt like impossiblility a just a few months ago :O
off for swim in a bit

was pretty surprised with last nights evening meal. Malcolm allans onion lorne Carbohydrate 17g per 100g. slice of wholemeal bread 16g. 33g carbs total didn't get any spikes just a gentle rise for a couple of hours and gently back down. pool was busy yesterday in the morning so went late afternoon.

The sun is certainly hiding this morning

Six point five on waking , currently seven point eight on getting up

Have a good day all

If you possibly can
